Bowling Green Evening Lions delivered last month more than 1,000 pair of used eyeglasses for recycling to VOSH (Volunteers Optometric Services to Humanity) in Pandora.  Also included in the shipment were numerous sun glasses and lenses.
Over the past eight years the BG Evening Lions, led by Chairman Lion Larry Batoki, have collected over 8,000 eyeglasses for VOSH.
At Pandora a volunteer Lions members clean, classify and package these eyeglasses for use by volunteer Optometrist Mission Teams.   VOSH teams provide free eye exams to poor families in third-world countries and when paired with these glasses give life changing sight.
Collection boxes for use eyeglasses in Bowling Green are located at Kroger Pharmacy, Ben Franklin, First United Methodist Church, First Presbyterian Church, Drs. Archer, Nowicki, Shilling and Sadowski Optometric Offices and Wal-Mart Vision Center.
