Tom and Diana Carpenter, Bowling Green, announce the engagement of their daughter, Amy Lynn Carpenter, to Matthew Douglas Bowman, son of Doug and Barbra Bowman, Havelock, N.C.
The bride-to-be graduated from Eastwood High School in 2002 and from Bowling Green State University in 2006 with a business and marketing education degree. She is working towards a master's degree in business and marketing education from Eastern Carolina University, Havelock, N.C., and is employed as a business teacher, cheerleading and track coach at Havelock High School in North Carolina.
Matt Bowman graduated from Havelock High School in 2006 and received an associate degree in marine propulsion from Craven Community College in 2007. He is currently serving in the U.S. Coast Guard and the couple is being stationed in Ketchikan, Alaska.
They are planning a July wedding at Dayspring Assembly of God, Bowling Green.
