MILLBURY - Five Lake School District teachers received continuing contracts at this month's board of education meeting.
The board approved the contracts for Julie Pickering, Greg Wilker, Amy Vorst, Heather Janes and Amy Lawniczak.
Also at the April 15 meeting, the board approved the retirement resignations for Robert Brough, Lake Middle School teacher with 35 years at Lake; Bonnie Reitzel, Lake Elementary teacher with 31 years; and William Pixler, high school guidance counselor with 35 years at Lake. All are effective June 1.
The board also approved 39 one-year teaching contracts.
In other business, the board:
¥ Non-renewed all supplemental contracts. Board president Tim Krugh said this is a standard action done annually.
¥ Accepted a $1,000 for the football program from Steve Hankish.
¥ Approved an overnight, extended trip for the girls basketball team to Arizona from June 22-29.
¥ Went into an executive session to discuss personnel, including employment, dismissal, discipline and compensation; plus real estate and negotiations.
