The Hayes Presidential Center can help you give voice to your home’s walls with its Tracing Your House’s
History class.

Pre-registration is required. The cost is $10 for adults, $5 for students through high school.

Hill explains how to use printed resources and online sources to get to the root of your home’s past.
She guides attendees in identifying prior owners of structures, as well as the history of the properties.

Among the available reference materials Hill discusses are deeds, Sanborn Maps, city directories, and tax
records.
Attendees also will be introduced to the wide array of resources available in the Hayes Research Library.

Tracing Your House’s History is one of a series of 13 "Learning about the Past" classes offered
by the Hayes Presidential Center this year.
