FREMONT – You probably have heard the expression, "If these walls could only talk." The
Hayes Presidential Center can help you give voice to the walls of your home with its class "Tracing
Your House’s History."Head librarian and veteran genealogist Becky Hill is instructor for the 9:30 to
11:30 a.m. April 6 class in the Hayes Museum. Pre-registration is required. Cost is $10 for adults and $5

resources and online sources to get to the root of a home’s past. She guides attendees in identifying prior
owners of structures, as well as the history of the properties. Among the reference materials Hill
highlights are deeds, Sanborn Maps, city directories, and tax records. Attendees also will be introduced to
the wide array of resources available in the Hayes Research Library."Tracing Your House’s History"
