PERRYSBURG – Looking to enhance a home or outdoor living space with unusual items? Look no further than
Lievens Market and Outdoor Living.
Stephanie Jaqua, store manager, describes the facility as a "little gem amid the box stores."

Ongoing renovations at the facility are designed to showcase merchandise, and inspire the homeowner to
"set your space apart and differentiate your home from your neighbors," Jaqua said
"We want you to be inspired. We have designers come in and help with our displays."
Customer services is geared toward helping people with ideas to enhance their living environment.
"Many items are low-maintenance designed for the working person so all they have to do when they get
home is to relax," Jaqua said.
There have been great strides in outdoor kitchens and creating patios and gardens that are living spaces,
she said.
One of owner Chad Lievens’ favorite items is a freestanding hammock. Many of the hammocks are handmade
and use other re-purposed materials.
"These are becoming more and more popular," Lievens said. "They are great for outdoor
living."

Birdhouses made from
repurposed materials hang on a wall of a barn at Lievens Market in Perrysburg.

Jaqua said beyond the familiar backyard grill, many people now have added smokers and functioning islands
which provide more flexibility to the homeowner rather than heating up their kitchen in the summer
months.
She also said patio lighting has transformed from the usual tiki torches to lights on timers, and
decorative lighting ceramics featuring gel cans, which provide a more decorative approach.
Lievens also has a bird room with an extensive selection of bird houses, baths and bird feeders.
Some of the more upscale bird houses have names, including one designed to resemble a church called
“Flock of Ages.”
Jaqua also said hummingbird feeders are growing in popularity and there is even a squirrel house
available.
“The biggest trend we see is people are looking for things which are more practical as well as
distinctive,” Jaqua said.
Lievens Market (formerly Moser’s) is located at 10411 Fremont Pike, (U.S. Routes 20 and 23) in
