Coach’s comment: "Last season, we were very young and took our lumps, but our kids got some great
experience and that should help us to improve this season. We have a very good core of returning
athletes and several freshmen who will see significant varsity action. We are still fairly young and
unproven, but I really like the direction our boys team is headed in. We had very good numbers in our
off-season conditioning program. Our goal is to compete hard and improve as the season goes on in order
to finish in the upper half of the league. Hopefully, we are laying a strong foundation for sustained
success for years to come."
PERRYSBURG

Coach’s comments: "Our expectations are to repeat the success from last year. We have some big holes
to fill, but we have a good group of freshmen coming in. As always, we will need to have every compete

make this a very fun and interesting season."

Coach’s comment: "We have a solid group of returning letter winners this year. With Brandon Avers
and Gole Gorski leading the way, we have high expectations for this team. We have enough talent to be
competitive in the conference and we hope to advance multiple individuals and relays to the regional
meet."

Coach’s comment: The boys team is down in numbers, but the athletes that we do have are quality athletes.
Our goal this year is to continue to progress in getting better in the league standings. Our strength is
spread from the throws to the distance, although not deep with numbers. We have very nice athletes in
these areas. Our key for the season will be to keep everyone healthy so late in the year we can shine in
the tournaments."
NORTH BALTIMORE
Coach: Cyndi Hotaling, first season.
2013 record: 10th in the MAL.
Returning lettermen: Seniors – Ethan Nominee, throws; and Cody Switzer, throws. Juniors – Jacob Dick,
throws; Nathan Flores, sprints; and AJ Hotaling, distance. Sophomores – Daniel Crouse, thrower; Cody
Gerdeman, sprints; and Tyler Stimmel, sprints.
Coach’s comments: "The team has been working hard in the preseason and is preparing to start
competition. We have many new faces this season and are excited about the potential of not only our
returning letter winners but also our new team members. We’re looking to work hard to set new personal
records and are excited about competing in the last MAL track and field championship and the postseason
in May."
TOLEDO AREA ATHLETIC CONFERENCE
NORTHWOOD
