Perrysburg volleyball beats Whitmer

Perrysburg's volleyball team, ranked ninth in the current stateĀ  coaches Division I poll, beat Toledo Whitmer, 25-13, 25-19, 25-10 Saturday.
The Yellow Jackets are 16-2 overall.
Perrysburg's leaders were: Audra Appold, 16 kills, nine digs, three aces; Shannon Fastnacht, nine kills; Savannah Miller, six kills, nine digs; and Chloe Matuga, 34 assists, 10 digs.

Rossford loses
In Sylvania, Northview was a 25-23, 25-16, 12-15, 25-23 winner over Rossford in a non-league match.

GOLF BOYS BG finishes fifth
At Maumee Bay in Oregon, Bowling Green shot a 318 to finish fifth in the St. John's Invitational.
BG's Tyler Remeis shot a 76 to tie for fifth individually.
The Bobcats' other scores were: Tad McKanna, 78; and Trey Walker, Phillip Rich, both 82.

Perrysburg 2,
Dublin Jerome 1
In Perrysburg the Yellow Jackets improved to 6-2-2 overall with a win over Dublin Jerome in a nonleague game.
Beth Glowacki and Allex Brown scored for Perrysburg, and Sarah Baer made six saves.

Eastwood 2, Lake 1
In Luckey, Eastwood took a 2-0 lead in the first half and held on for a Northern Buckeye Conference win.
Morgan Donaldson had 12 saves for Eastwood, while Reagan Boice had one goal and one assist.
Courtney Niswander scored Eastwood's other goal and Kortni Montag had an assist.

Junior varsity results
Rossford beat Northview, 25-15, 21-25, 25-16.

Freshmen results
Northview beat Rossford, 25-22, 25-19.
