District baseball rained out
Thursday's semifinal games in the Division I and II district high school baseball tournaments were rained out.
The games were rescheduled for today.
In Division I at Carter Park, fifth-ranked Perrysburg plays Mansfield Madison at 4:15 p.m. and Findlay plays No. 15 Norwalk at 7:15 p.m.
In Division II at Archbold, Bowling Green plays No. 2 Sandusky Perkins at 7 p.m., with No. 2 Defiance playing Toledo Central Catholic in the first game at 4:30 p.m.
Both championship games will still be played Saturday, but the starting time for the Division I final has been moved from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The Division II final starting time is to be announced.

Perrysburg-Springfield
baseball rescheduled
PERRYSBURG - Perrysburg's baseball game against Springfield has been rescheduled for Tuesday at 5 p.m.
The game will be played at Springfield. It originally was scheduled to be played at Fifth Third Field in Toledo.
Perrysburg can clinch the outright Northern Lakes League championship by beating Springfield.
The Yellow Jackets are 12-1 in the NLL with just the Springfield game remaining. If Perrysburg loses, it'll tie Anthony Wayne for the league title. AW finished 12-2 in the league.

BGSU baseball rained out
AVON - Bowling Green State University's baseball game with Toledo in the Mid-American Conference tournament was rained out Thursday.
The game is scheduled to start at approximately 2 p.m. today.

BGSU volleyball sets schedule
Bowling Green State University's volleyball team has announced its 2013 schedule, which features six non-conference opponents that finished 2012 ranked among the top 25 in the country.
The defending Mid-American Conference tournament champions, BG returns five starters and the libero from a team that went 22-11 overall and 13-3 in conference play.
The Falcons ended the year with an RPI ranked No. 46 after winning the MAC tournament and defeating Yale in the first round of the NCAA tournament. It was the first NCAA Tournament victory in program history.
BG opens the 2013 season hosting the Hampton Inn Invitational on Aug 30-31. Creighton, BYU and Marquette are also in the four-team field.
The Falcons begin conference play Sept. 26 at Miami before the home conference opener in a rematch of last year's MAC tournament championship against Northern Illinois Sept. 28.

Owens golf fifth
SCOTTSBORO, Ala. - The Owens Community College men's golf team is fifth in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division II national tournament.
The team shot a 307 in Thursday's third round and has a team total a 866, plus-22, with one round remaining.
Owens' Luke Berger had a 2-over 74 Thursday and is at 219, plus-3 for the tournament.
Brandon Hoelzer, who had shot 5-under total over the tournament's first two rounds, shot a 4-over 76 Thursday. His three-round total of 1-under 215 dropped him into a tie for 13th place.
Other third round scores for the Express were: Walter Dorosh (78), Blaze Hogan (79) and Darren Gessner (80).

Soccer tryouts set
Tryouts for the Bowling Green Soccer Club are Tuesday for U-11 and younger and May 30 for players U-12 and older.
Tryouts will be at the Dunbridge Road fields behind the Bowling Green Municipal Court from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
