PERRYSBURG — If you ever see Perrysburg’s girls basketball team in action, you may notice something just a bit different.
In high-pressure, intense games, one is likely used to seeing nothing but the look of determination and grit on the competitor’s face.
But not when you watch the Yellow Jackets. Look closely and you see smiles, you see teammates laughing, and you see a sense of enjoyment.
That loose style of play has paid off for Perrysburg, as the ’Jackets clinched their second consecutive Northern Lakes League title in a 59-26 thrashing of Napoleon Saturday night.

On a quick turnaround, the Bobcats faced a talented Lima Bath team Saturday.
And while Bowling Green showed determination and energy, the Bobcats could not contain Bath’s Taren Sullivan, who scored 33 points, as the Wildcats posted a 76-68 nonleague victory.
