Prep Roundup: Rossford wins to tie for conference lead (01-31-14)

Mack Miller and Derek Mack each scored 11 points as Rossford’s boys held off Otsego, 46-45 in Northern
Buckeye Conference action Thursday night.
The win, coupled with Lake’s loss at Eastwood, put the Bulldogs (10-4) and Flyers in a tie for first in
the NBC at 7-1.
Jalen Myers led Otsego (5-9, 3-5) with 20 points, while Schyler Scherff added 13 points.
In other boys games it was: Eastwood 71, Lake 63; Elmwood 54, Woodmore 46; Fremont St. Joseph 88, Lakota
68; and North Baltimore 50, Fostoria St. Wendelin 42.
In girls games it was: Perrysburg 79, Maumee 19; Northview 67, Bowling Green 57; and Northwood 45,
Gibsonburg 40.

Woodmore 46
In Jerry City, Elmwood (3-11, 2-6) out-scored Woodmore 31-17 in the second half en route to an NBC win.

Trevor Solether scored 13 points as the Royals defense held Woodmore to nine points in the final quarter.

Woodmore is 2-13, 2-7.
Fremont St. Joseph 88,
Lakota 68
In Fremont, Lakota’s Colin Timmons scored 21 points and had eight rebounds, and Josh Kirkpatrick added 20
in a Midland Athletic League loss.
Lakota (5-10, 1-6) turned the ball over 23 times.
North Baltimore 50,
Fostoria St. Wendelin 42
In Fostoria, Jacob Frost scored 16 points to help NB improve to 7-8 overall and 2-4 in the MAL.
GIRLS
Northview 67, BGHS 57
Bowling Green and Northview played to a 30-30 tie in the first half before the Wildcats pulled away in
Northern Lakes League action.
Livvy Dill led the Bobcats (9-9, 4-7) with 15 points, while Kendal Glandorff and Tyanna Smith added 13
and 10 points, respectively.
Northwood 45,
Gibsonburg 40
In Northwood, despite scoring just six points in the first quarter, the Rangers improved to 3-13 overall
and 3-7 in the Toledo Area Athletic Conference.
Doma Cruz scored 11 points, including nine free throws on 10 attempts.

Eastwood beat Elmwood, 48-34. Leaders for Eastwood were Cade Boos, Cory Coffman, Jake Pickerel, and
Hunter Slattman. Leaders for Elmwood were Zach Weiss, Clay Stearns and Austin Moses.
Lake beat Otsego, 38-36. Ahmed Smith led Lake with 17 points.
Timberstone beat Bowling Green, 53-37. Kaleb Fair scored 16 points for the Bobcats, who finished their
season 4-12.
