Prep Roundup: Rossford girls win, remain tied for 2nd (01-17-14)

Rossford’s girls remained in a tie for second place in the Northern Buckeye Conference Thursday with a
70-24 win over Eastwood.
The Bulldogs and Woodmore, a 55-51 winner over Genoa, are 5-2 in the NBC.
In another girls game it was: Toledo Christian 42, Northwood 27.
In boys games, it was: New Riegel 61, North Baltimore 38; Lakota 85, Old Fort 68.

In Luckey, Cheyenne Davis scored 17 points and Julie Hotz added 15 as Rossford improved to 9-4 overall.

Aubrey Peters led Eastwood (2-11, 1-7) with five points.
Toledo Christian 42,
Northwood 27
In Northwood, Toledo Christian out-scored the Rangers 21-6 in the fourth quarter of a Toledo Area
Athletic Conference game.
Alex Rable led Northwood (1-11, 1-6) with 12 points.

New Riegel 61,
North Baltimore 38
In North Baltimore, New Riegel out-scored the Tigers 21-6 to post a Midland Athletic League win.
Chad Wright led NB (6-8, 2-4) with 12 points.
New Riegel is 5-7, 4-2.

BG splits
Bowling Green beat Anthony Wayne, 63-16, but dropped a 59-50 decision to Wauseon.
Trae Gulgin led the Bobcats, winning the 200 freestyle (1:58.58), and 500 freestyle (5:22.04).
Other BG winners were: Cole DeWulf, one-meter diving (165.65); Corey Gilbert, 200 individual medley
(2:13.40); Andrew Watson, 100 backstroke (1:19.95; and the 200 medley relay team of Gulgin, Watson,
Gilbert, and DeWulf (1:58.18).

BG wins
four-team meet
Bowling Green won a quadrangular, defeating Anthony Wayne, 109-66; Wauseon, 102-76; and Maumee, 101-71.

BG’s Emmy Sehmann won the 50 freestyle (24.98) and the 100 butterfly (1:04.46).
Also for the Bobcats, Jessica Crook, Emma Cavins, Mallory, and Sehmann won the 200 medley relay
(2:03.14), and Sehmann, Glenn, Cavins, and Larissa Leck won the 200 freestyle relay (1:50.82).

Otsego beat Elmwood, 44-30. Leaders for the Royals were Zach Weiss, Jonah Childress and Justin McKenzie.

Lake defeated Genoa, 48-45. Dylan O’Quinn led the Flyers with 15 points, while Ahmed Smith added 10.
Napoleon beat Bowling Green, 33-24. Spencer Rader was the leading scorer for the Bobcats, 3-9.
