Perrysburg's volleyball team swept Bowling Green 25-19, 25-16, 25-8 to open its Northern Lakes League schedule.
The Yellow Jackets, 2-1 overall, were led by Savannah Miller's 10 kills. Audra Appold added nine kills and 14 digs, while Chloe Matuga had 25 assists and nine digs. PHOTO GALLERY
Leaders for the Bobcats were: Hanna Williford, 16 digs; Rachel Clark, 10 digs, two aces; and Tyanna Smith, seven kills, three blocks.

Eastwood downs Genoa
In Genoa, Eastwood grabbed its first victory of the year with a 25-15, 25-14, 25-13 Northern Buckeye Conference win over Genoa.
Leaders for the Eagles were: Jaci Juergens, 28 assists, three kills, 11 digs, one ace; Mackenzie Albright, six digs; Bre Hoodlebrink, 10 kills, four digs; and Elise Wolff, 17 kills, 16 digs.

Elmwood tops Lake
In Jerry City, Elmwood was a 25-20, 25-9, 25-22 winner over Lake to open the NBC season.
Elmwood's leaders were: Amanda Jones, 28 assists, five digs, four aces; Madison Arnold, 14 kills, three aces; and Jasmine Marsh, 10 kills, 11 digs.

Otsego defeats Woodmore
In Elmore, Otsego is 2-1 overall and 1-0 in the NBC after a 25-12, 25-4, 24-7 win over Woodmore (0-1 in the NBC).
Otsego's leaders were: Morgan Smoyer, 18 kills, five aces; Mackenzie Varner, 39 assists; Abby Hesselschwardt, seven kills; Lauren Wynn, six kills; and Lindsay Donald, 11 digs, three aces.

Rossford beats Fostoria
In Fostoria, Rossford swept the season-opening NBC match from Fostoria 25-17, 25-15, 25-14.
Leaders for the Bulldogs were: Mikhala Dunne, 22 assists; Karly Durco, seven aces, five kills; Julie Hotz, eight kills, four aces, four blocks; Margo Jackson, 10 digs; and Maggie Leahy, 12 kills, 10 digs, two blocks.

North Baltimore loses
In Van Buren, Van Buren beat the Tigers 25-21, 25-16, 20-25, 25-22 in a nonleague match.
Leaders for NB were: Olivia Frost, four aces; seven kills; Jenea Rensch, 10 digs; Morgan Schloemp, nine kills, nine digs; Chelsea Stewart, five kills.

Eastwood wins NBC Shootout
In Dowling at Tanglewood Golf Course, Eastwood's score of 163 won the first of four NBC Shootouts, edging second-place Woodmore by three strokes.
Lake was third at 167 followed by Rossford at 172. Elmwood's fifth-man scoring tiebreaker gave it the sixth spot at 193 over Fostoria. Otsego had a 206.
The Eagles were led by Steven Bruning's medalist roud of 38, while Nick Coffman added a 42 and David Krukemyer and River Redman each shot 44.
Lake saw consistent scoring out of its team with Ian Johnson leading the way with a 41, while Michael Kranz, Owen Johnson and Dylan Mauder each shot 42.
Ryan Niese and Mason Robinson each shot 41 to lead Rossford. Mack Miller shot 44 and Brian Burks and Chris Schaffer each shot 46.
Elmwood's Nate Ramsey shot a 44 to lead the Royals. Trevor Robbins and Marc Day each shot 49 and Jay Graham added a 51.
Samson Dunmyer led Otsego with a 45. Also scoring for the Knights were: Mitchell Miles, 52; Colin Bigenhoe, 53; and Tony Pasty, 55.

BGHS 147, St. John's 148
At Stone Ridge, Bowling Green's Phillip Rich shot a 35 to lead the Bobcats over Toledo St. John's.
Trey Walker and Tad McKanna each shot 36 while Tyler Remeis and Alex Noble each shot 40 to help keep BG undefeated at 4-0 overall.

Hopewell-Loudon 166,
Otsego 209
In Fostoria, Hopewell-Loudon defeated Otsego in a nonleague dual match on Monday.
Scoring for Otsego were: Dunmyer, 47; Brian Frail, 51; Miles, 55; and Pasty, 56.

GIRLS
Elmwood wins NBC Shootout
In North Baltimore, Elmwood's girls ran away with the first NBC Shootout at Birch Run, with a192, which was 23 strokes better than second-place Otsego (215).
Taylor Carr paced Elmwood with her medalist round of 45.
Eastwood was third at 225 followed by Rossford at 232. Genoa closed out the five-team field, shooting 246.
Also scoring for Elmwood were: Savannah Baker, 46; Alexis Miller, 47; and Sierra Semko, 54.
Emily Myrice led Otsego with a 51, while Madeline Asmus shot 53, Hannah Davis shot 54, and Gwen Amborski shot 57.
Eastwood's led by Sam Whritenour's 54. Also scoring for Eastwood was: Hannah Cook, 56; Abbi Sheldrick, 57; and Alysa Rice, 58.
Rossford's scorers were: Maalaea Newell, 49; Alexis Schultz, 60; Morgan Giovanoli, 61; and CeCe Smith, 62.

Perrysburg 196
In Sylvania, Northview defeated Perrysburg in a NLL dual match at Highland Meadows Golf Club.
Scoring for the Yellow Jackets were: Monica Dorner, 42; Madison Williams, 49; Katie Diehl, 51; and Macy Tudor, 54.

BOYS
Springfield 2, Perrysburg 1
In Perrysburg, Springfield improved to 4-0 on the year after defeating the Yellow Jackets in an NLL match.
Stephen Beaujean scored Perrysburg's only goal, assisted by Michael Bosworth.
Kyle Rowan recorded two saves in goal for the 'Jackets, 0-2.

Northview 2, BGHS 0
Northview scored twice in the second half to down Bowling Green in its NLL opener.
Zach DeSola recorded nine saves.

Junior varsity results
VOLLEYBALL
Eastwood defeated Genoa 25-20, 19-25, 25-19.
Rossford beat Fostoria, 25-20, 25-6.

Junior high results
SEVENTH GRADE VOLLEYBALL
Eastwood beat Genoa, 25-14, 15-18. Alissa Ray had five aces for the Eagles.
