Perrysburg defeated Bowling Green, 23-25, 25-16, 18-25, 25-13, 15-13 in a Northern Lakes League volleyball match Thursday.

Perrysburg's leaders were: Audra Appold, 19 kills, 22 digs; Chloe Matuga, 38 assists, 14 digs; Mackenzie Pohlman, six kills, four blocks; Alyssa Young, eight kills; Graesyn Pawlak, 16 digs.
BG's leaders were: Maddy Dunn, 14 kills, two blocks, three aces; Mackenzie Dunn, 31 assists; and Hanna Williford, 35 digs.

Eastwood wins
In Luckey, Eastwood won in straight sets, 25-12, 25-11, 25-12, in a Northern Buckeye Conference match against Genoa.
Leading the Eagles were: Jaci Juergens, three aces, three kills, 36 assists, five digs; Mackenzie Albright, 12 digs; Bri Hoodlebrink, eight kills; Elise Wolff, five aces, 18 kills, nine digs; Cassidy Rolf, five kills, six digs.
Eastwood is 9-2 overall and 8-0 in the NBC.

Rossford sweeps
In Rossford, the Bulldogs beat Fostoria, 25-14, 25-9, 25-17 in the NBC.
Leading the Bulldogs were: Alex Birdsell, nine kills, two blocks; Karly Durco, five aces, seven kills, seven digs; Julie Hotz, five kills, nine digs; Maggie Leahy, five aces, 13 kills, eight digs; Margo Jackson, eight digs, two aces; Mikhala Dunne, 16 assists, four aces; and Danielle Meller, 14 assists, two aces.

Otsego tops Woodmore
In Tontogany, Otsego improved to 9-3 overall and 7-1 in the NBC with a 25-15, 25-14, 25-9 win over Woodmore.
Otsego's leaders were: Abby Hesselschwardt, 11 kills; Morgan Smoyer, 10 kills; Mackenzy Varner, 29 assists, six aces; Savannah Schwind, five digs, four aces; and Lindsey Donald, six digs.

Elmwood beats Lake
In Millbury, Elmwood was a 25-18, 25-7, 25-17 winner over Lake in an NBC match.
Leaders for the Royals were: Amanda Jones, 38 assists; Madison Arnold, 14 kills, four blocks; Marissa Swavel, 15 digs; Jasmine Marsh, 14 kills, five digs; Ashley Veryser, eight kills; and Sarah Williams, six digs, two aces.

NB loses
In Fremont, St. Joseph beat North Baltimore, 25-15, 25-14, 25-11 in a Midland Athletic League match.

In a Northwest Ohio Girls Golf League triangular at Heatherdowns Country Club, Rossford was third with a 227 total. Toledo Whitmer was the winner with a 177.
Rossford's scorers were: Maalaea Newell, 47; CeCe Smith and Alexis Schultz, 59 each; and Morgan Giovanoli, 62.

EIGHTH GRADE
FOOTBALL
Eastwood defeated Lake, 48-8. Antonio Salinas, Ian Downard and Cade Boos had two rushing touchdowns each for the Eagles. Boos had two conversion runs, while Salinas added another. Jalen Casiano had two fumble recoveries, one for a touchdown and Seth Welch also had a fumble recovery. Cooper Comes blocked a punt for Eastwood.

Otsego defeated Rossford 22-16. Scoring for Otsego were Dylan Hillesheim, Angel Almaguar, Austin Meier, Will Gase and Mitchell Downs. Leading the defense with interceptions were Kaden Blanco and Cameron Palicki.
Lake beat Eastwood, Lake beat Eastwood, 30-8. Gavin Slattman scored on a touchdown run for Eastwood, and  Nick Schuerman threw a conversion to Joel Stanley.
