Perrysburg's Nora Abdul-Aziz, and the doubles team of Erica Fastnacht and Sarah Fastnacht lost in the semifinals of the Division I district tournament Saturday at Bowling Green State University.
Abdul-Aziz lost 6-0, 6-0 to Northview's Megan Miller.
St. Ursula's Celina Nowicki and Sydney Seeley posted a 6-1, 2-6, 6-2 win over the Perrysburg team.
The top two finishers in both the singles and the doubles qualified for the state tournament.
BGHS 2, Bryan 1
In Bryan, Brittany Lowe got the game-winning goal on a direct kick with 23:32 left in the match.
Kylie Nienow tied the game at 1-1 for the Bobcats with 12:45 left in the first half.
Livvy Dill made four saves for BG, 8-8-1.
BG plays top-seeded Maumee on Thursday in Bryan at 4 p.m.
Liberty Center 0
In Liberty Center, Otsego advanced to face top-seeded Archbold Tuesday at 5 p.m.
Hudson 2, tie
In Hudson, Lucy Walton and Rachael Olmstead scored to give Perrysburg a nonleague tie in its final regular season match,
Perrysburg's Sarah Baer had six saves.
The Yellow Jackets are 11-2-3 overall.
At Seneca East High School, Lakota's Cariss Reese finished second in the Midland Athletic League meet in 20:44, and was first-team all-league.
Lakota was sixth with 138 points and North Baltimore was ninth with 220. Mohawk won with 48.
Completing Lakota's top five were: Morgan Mowry, 22nd, 23:07; Amanda Lane, 26th, 23:14; Barbara Sprauer, 41st, 25:39; and Taylor Smith, 54th, 26:06.
NB's top five were: Megan Ernsberger, 42nd, 25:02; Taylor Grilliot, 45th, 25:14; Raegan Fleckner, 48th, 25:27; Mariah Leonard, 57th, 26:31; and Leslie Busch, 52nd, 27:10.'
finishes ninth in MAL
At Seneca East High School, Lakota's Luke Baker finished ninth the MAL meet win 17:48 and was second-team all-league.
Lakota finished fifth with 161 points and NB was 11th with 266. Seneca East won with 28.
Completing Lakota's top five were: Caleb Tolento, 26th, 18:31; David Mason, 42nd, 19:21; Isaac Ritter, 51st, 19:44; and Matthew Steiner, 53rd, 19:46.
NB's top five were: Nathan Flores, 37th, 19:10; Caleb Swope, 58th, 19:57; A.J. Hotaling, 72nd, 20:41; Tanner Grady-DuVall, 75th, 20:48; and Tyler Stimmel, 81st, 1:07.
Junior high results
Otsego won the Northern Buckeye Conference championship with Sam Berry winning the race for the Knights while teammates Stone Zimmerman and Shane Tabor were second and third, respectively.
Otsego finished third at the NBC championship, led by first team honorees Julie Spencer, fourth, and Sarah Cox, sixth.
Eastwood advanced to the title match of the NBC tournament, with two wins on Saturday. The Eagles face Otsego at Rossford Junior High at approximately 5:30 p.m.
The Eagles beat Woodmore, 25-10, 25-8 and Fostoria, 25-17, 25-14.
Eastwood's leaders for the day were: Hannah Hodulik, 13 aces, eight kills, two blocks; Abby Schroeder, six aces, seven assists, two kills; MaKahlen Hiser, four aces, three kills; and Katelyn Meyer, six kills.
Eastwood advanced to the NBC championship game against Elmwood on Wednesday after defeating Woodmore 25-6, 25-21 and Genoa 25-12, 25-21.
Against Woodmore, Kara Spahn and Kyra Contris each had four aces for Eastwood. Against Genoa, Alissa Ray had three aces.
The championship match is at Rossford at 4:30 p.m.
