Perrysburg’s softball team got a one-hit shutout from Kim Bryson, and the Yellow Jackets won their Division I district semifinal over Fremont Ross, 2-0 at Tiffin University on Thursday.
Bryson had 15 strikeouts with no walks.
Lorianne Granata plated Perrysburg’s first run on a suicide squeeze bunt in the fourth and Ty Wilson scored on an RBI hit by Cammy Messenger in the fifth.
Perrysburg will face Anthony Wayne in the district finals on Saturday at noon in Tiffin.

At Bluffton University
Lima Shawnee 6, Eastwood 2
In Bluffton, Lima Shawnee scored four times in its final three at-bats to pull away from a 2-2 tie.
Eastwood, which had just three hits, was hurt by six errors.
Chris Hoffman had two hits, including a double, and an RBI for Eastwood (15-10).

Northwood 10, Cardinal Stritch 7, 9 innings
In Oregon, Northwood scored four runs in the top of the ninth to improve to 10-1 in the Toledo Area Athletic Conference. The Rangers are 16-9 overall.
Leading hitters for Northwood were: Nick Russell, 3-for-5, double; and Jake Pressley, 2-for-5, two RBI.
Northwood will play Toledo Christian next week for its first TAAC title. The date for the game is to be determined.

Gibsonburg 3, Lake 2
In Millbury, Gibsonburg scored a run in the top of the sixth inning to break a 2-2 tie on the way to the Suburban Lakes League win. Lake finished its season 15-11 overall and 7-5 in the SLL.
For the Flyers, Megan Schnell was 1-for-3 with a double and two RBI and Bri Freeman was 1-for-3 with a double.

At Eastwood
Lakota’s Guerra wins long jump
In Luckey, Lakota’s Roger Guerra took first in the long jump at the Division III track meet Thursday.
Guerra won with a distance of 22- 3/4 to qualify for the regional meet at Tiffin. He finished ninth in the long jump at the state meet last season.
Lakota’s 3,200 relay team also advanced to regionals, finishing fourth. The team of Zac Baker, Kyle Babcock, Daniel Limon and Seth Benfer finished in a time of 8:57.2.
Northwood’s Andrew Pietras advanced in the shot put, taking fourth with a throw of 45-10 3/4.
The top four finishers in each event advance to regional at Tiffin.
Also scoring was Lakota’s Seth Nonnemaker, who was seventh in the long jump (19-4 1/2).

At Liberty-Benton
Elmwood advances 3,200 relay team
In Findlay, Elmwood’s 3,200 relay team of Miranda Wagner, Darla Heimann, Bethany Flage and Addy Mathias advanced to regionals. The team finished second in a time of 10:01.2.
The top four teams advance to the regional at Tiffin.
Also scoring were: Elmwood’s Kori Reiser, fifth, discus (111-7), and Kalynn Rickle, seventh, discus (108-3).
North Baltimore’s 3,200 relay team of Andrew Williams, Andrew Senecal, Josh Meggitt and Corey North was eighth in a time of 8:58.9.
