Prep Roundup: Perrysburg girls golf finishes second (08-15-13) PDF Print E-mail

Perrysburg's girls golf team finished second Wednesday in the Milan Edison Invitational at Thunderbird South.
The Yellow Jackets shot a 340 total. Edison won the 21-team tournament with 331.
Perrysburg's scores were: Katie Diehl 79, Monica Dorner 84, Madison Williams 86, Sonia Krolak 91.

Elmwood second in Royal Open
In North Baltimore at Birch Run Golf Course, Elmwood finished second and Otsego was third in the Royal Open.
Mohawk won the five-team event with a 199 total. Elmwood finished at 203 and Otsego shot 214.
Elmwood's scorers were: Savannah Baker and Alexis Miller, 49 each; Sierra Semko, 50; and Taylor Carr and Heather Ickes, 55 each.
Otsego's scorers were: Emily Myrice, 47; Madeline Asmus, 54; Hannah Davis, 55; and Rachel Murphy 58.

Eastwood finishes sixth
In Clyde at Green Hills, Eastwood shot a 340 to finish sixth in the 14-team Bellevue Invitational. Bellevue won with 305.
Eastwood's scores were: Steven Bruning, 78; Kyle Waynick, 83; Nick Coffman, 85; and David Krukemyer, 94.

NB loses
In Ottawa at Pike Run Golf Course, NB lost on the fifth-man score after the Tigers and Leipsic both shot a 188 total.
NB's Jacob Frost was medalist with a 40.
NB's other scores were: Brock Boyer, 42; Garrett Boyer, 52; and Chad Wright, 54.

Junior varsity results
Eastwood won the Royal Open at Birch Run.
The Eagles shot a 184 led by Joe Boyk's 41. Boyk and Fostoria's Trey Yates each had a 41 with Yates earning medalist honors on a scorecard playoff.
Elmwood was fifth with a 217 led Evan Houtz's 49.
