Otsego's boys and Eastwood's girls each won their first Northern Buckeye Conference Jamboree cross country meet at Fostoria High School.
In the boys race, the Knights' score of 42 points edged Eastwood at 44 points. Lake was third with 65 points while Elmwood (131) was fifth.
Lake's Tyler Rickman was the individual winner in 17:01.
Eastwood's girls won easily scoring 23 points, with three of its runners finishing first, second and third overall. Otsego was second with 55 points, while Elmwood (83), Lake (92) and Rossford (116) rounded out the field.
Eastwood's Hannah Sponaugle was the individual winner in 20:51.
Brandon Avers finished second overall in 17:09 to help Otsego to the win.
Also scoring for the Knights were: Seth Harnishfeger, eighth at 18:26; Caleb Baus, ninth at 18:32; Jordy Ghesquiere, 11th at 18:48; and Tyler Harroun, 12th at 19:04.
Tim Hoodlebrink, Gabe Fredericks and Noah Smith finished third, fourth and fifth, respectively, for Eastwood. Hoodlebrink ran 17:10; Fredericks ran 17:53; and Smith ran 17:57. Also scoring for Eastwood were Sam Church, seventh at 18:22; and Josh Bierley, 25th at 19:42.
Lake's other scorers were: Orfrancis Ozuna, 10th at 18:39; Scott Brittenham, 13th at 19:07; Aaron Witt, 20th at 19:35; and Austin Wilhelm, 21st at 19:36.
Josh Mathias led Elmwood with a 14th-place finish at 19:14. Also scoring for the Royals were Chris Goodrich, 22nd at 19:37; Andrew Jasso, 30th at 20:15; Kole Schultz, 31st at 20:30; and Noah Corral, 34th at 20:54.
Sponaugle, Maddie Jackson and Meagan Kaminski were the top three finishers overall, leading Eastwood to an easy victory in the NBC Jamboree.
Jackson finished in 21:06 and Kaminski ran a 21:23.
Also scoring for the Eagles were Lexie Clark, eighth at 23:52 and Ashley Madaras, ninth at 23:57.
Dayna Fackler finished fifth overall for Otsego with a time of 22:45 while teammate Marisa DiBartolomeo was sixth at 22:56. Also scoring for Otsego was: Adeline Smith, seventh at 23:36; Sadie VanHorn, 13th at 24:41; and Alexandria Stough, 24th at 27:05.
Elmwood's times were: Emma Krassow, 12th at 24:28; Madison Sears, 14th at 24:43; Emily Tracy, 17th at 25:06; Makayla Mohre, 19th at 25:36; and Keli Bradford, 21st at 26:41.
Marissa Boos led Lake with an 11th-place finish with a time of 24:17. Also scoring for Lake were: Vanessa Warton, 15th at 24:45; Olivia Bockey, 18th at 25:10; Katie Swartz, 20th at 26:39; and Kristen Deal, 28th at 28:34.
Scoring for Rossford were: Jessica Pietrasz, fourth at 22:43; Samantha Strohm, 25th at 27:27; Madeline York, 27th at 28:14; Kayla Kirkman, 29th at 28:48; and Madeline Potts, 31st at 29:33.
At the Patrick Henry Quadrangular, North Baltimore was third with 51 points. Holgate won the meet with 33 points.
Nathan Flores was NB's top runner, finishing sixth in 20:55. Also scoring for NB were: Tyler Stimmel, seventh, 21:07; AJ Hotaling, ninth, 21:23; Tanner Gray-Duval, 14th, 23:37; and Cody Gerdeman, 18th, 25:27.
NB's Grilliot eighth
At the Patrick Henry Quadrangular, Holgate was the only school to field a full team.
Running for North Baltimore were: Taylor Grilliot, eighth, 26:28; Mariah Leonard, 10th, 28:34; Raegan Fleckner, 11th, 29:03; and Megan Ernsberger, 12th, 29:32.
Junior high results
Otsego's boys won the NBC Jamboree with 36 points. Rossford was second with 79 points, Elmwood was third with 101, Lake was fifth with 107, and Eastwood was sixth with 115 points.
Otsego's Sam Berry was second in 12:41. Lake's Justin Luoma was fifth in 14:07. Rossford's Jake Pietrasz was seventh in 14:10. Eastwood's Daniel Trombly was ninth in 14:54. Elmwood's K.J. Bradford was 11th in 15:09.
North Baltimore's Noah Pelton finished eighth in a meet with Patrick Henry, running a 14:54.
In the NBC Jamboree, Eastwood was the winner with 38 points. Lake was second with 49, and Rossford was fourth with 86. Elmwood and Otsego did not field full teams.
Eastwood's Sofia Weis was the individual winner in 15:51. Rossford's Emma Boney was second in 16:01. Lake's Grace Blandin was fourth in 16:13. Elmwood's Allison was eighth in 16:33. Otsego's Julie Spencer was ninth in 16:41.
North Baltimore's Marina Kramer was second in 17:15 in a meet at Patrick Henry.
