Ryan Smoyer pitched a three-hitter and struck out 10 Monday to lead Otsego’s baseball team to a 2-1 win over Lake in a Northern Buckeye Conference game.
In softball, Elmwood’s Miranda Benschoter pitched a no-hitter in a 24-0 five-inning win over Fostoria in an NBC game.

In Tontogany, Otsego scored in the fourth and sixth innings, and held off Lake. Lake’s run came in the seventh.
Smoyer walked two. Lake’s Jayce Vancena pitched a five-hitter, striking out five and walking two.
Otsego’s Drake Johnson was 1-for-2 with a double and an RBI.
Lake’s Nick Walsh doubled.
Otsego is 4-3 overall and 2-0 in the NBC. Lake is 6-4, 1-1.

Eastwood 18, Woodmore 4
In Woodville, Ryan Mang was 2-for-3 with a double, triple, RBI and four runs to help Eastwood to improve to 8-3 overall and 2-0 in the NBC.
Jake Schmeltz hit a grand slam for Eastwood.

Fostoria 6, Elmwood 2
In Fostoria, the Redmen took a 4-0 lead in the first inning to win an NBC game.
The loss prevented Elmwood coach Kyle Reiser from recording his 500th career victory.
Both teams are 1-1 in the conference.

Perrysburg 11, Northview 6
In Sylvania, third-ranked Perrysburg (Continued from 1)
scored six runs in the sixth and three in the seventh to erase a 6-2 deficit.
Perrysburg is 10-1 overall and 3-0 in the Northern Lakes League.
Northview is 0-3 in the NLL.
Gus Dimmerling’s two-run double and Steve Slocum’s two-run single highlighted Perrysburg’s sixth inning.
Perrysburg’s leading hitters were: Slocum, 3-for-5, run, two RBI; Mark Delas, 2-for-4, run; AJ Stockwell, 1-for-4, run, two RBI; Nick Munger, 1-for-2, double, two runs, RBI; Nick Fleming, 1-for-1, run, three RBI; and Dimmerling, 2-for-5, double, run, two RBI.

North Baltimore 4,
Seneca East 1
In Attica, Jordan Watson hit an RBI single and struck out eight to keep North Baltimore perfect in the Midland Athletic League.
Zach Stewart scored twice and added the other RBI for NB, which had just two hits.
NB is 5-6 overall and 3-0 in the MAL.

Northwood 15,
Danbury 6
In Lakeside, Nick Russell was 2-for-5 with three RBI as Northwood improved to 2-1 in the Toledo Area Athletic Conference.
Also for the Rangers (5-7 overall), Evan Perkins was 2-for-5, and John Segura was 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Elmwood 24,
Fostoria 0, 5 innings
In Fostoria, Benschoter struck out five and walked none as Elmwood upped its record to 10-2 overall and 2-0 in the NBC.
Elmwood’s leading hitters were: Brittany George, 1-for-4, home run, two runs, two RBI; Olivia Myers, 2-for-4, two runs, one RBI; Katie Bottesch, 2-for-4, three runs, one RBI; Madison Arnold, 4-for-4, triple, three runs, five RBI; Rebecca Harvey, 1-for-4, double, two runs, two RBI; Tori Hillard, Benschoter, both 4-for-5, double, one run, three RBI; and Chelsie Schmitz, 3-for-4, double, two runs, five RBI.

Eastwood 5,
Woodmore 0
In Woodville, Ally Gabel was 3-for-4 with a double, home run and three RBI, and Whitney Foster pitched a two-hitter as Eastwood remained undefeated. The Eagles are 13-0 overall and 3-0 in the NBC.
Foster struck out 10 and walked one.
Eastwood’s other leading hitters were: Foster, Mackenzie Albright, both 2-for-4; and Cassidy Rolf, double.
Woodmore is 2-3, 0-2.

Kylie Asmus singled and tripled for Otsego, and Paige Ireland singled twice. Lake’s Kayla Encalado singled and tripled.
Asmus struck out 16 and walked four, while Lake’s Emma Materni struck out five and walked four.
Rossford 9, Genoa 8
In Genoa, Rossford took a 9-0 lead and held off the Comets in an NBC game.
Genoa had runners at second and third with none out in the seventh, but Rossford pitcher Hannah Gauthier recorded a strikeout and two infield outs to end the game.
Rossford’s leading hitters were: Lyndsey Skala, 3-for-5, two runs, RBI; Kirsten Keller, 2-for-4, two RBI; Mandi Longeway 1-for-3, two RBI; Maddie York, 2-for-4, two runs; and Gauthier, 3-for-4.
Rossford is 7-3, 1-1.

Anthony Wayne 9,
Northview 8, BGHS 3
In Whitehouse, Lily Murnen doubled for BG against AW in an NLL game.
Against Northview in another NLL game, BG’s Hanna Williford homered.

North Baltimore 5,

In Attica, Jasmine Bretz was 3-for-3 with a home run as NB improved to 7-4 overall and 3-0 in the MAL.
NB’s other leading hitters were: Megan Wright, single, RBI; Kelsey Gazarek, double, two RBI; and Nique Buchanan, 2-for-3.
Cheyenne Hernandez pitched a seven-hitter to run her record to 5-2.

Lakota 8,
Hopewell-Loudon 1
In Bascom, Lakota scored eight times in the first two innings and finished with 16 hits in an MAL game.
Lakota’s leading hitters were: Stephanie Miller, 2-for-4, two runs; Nikkia Cooper, 2-for-4, double, run; Morgan Gangwer, Aubrey Bickford, both 2-for-4, two runs, two RBI; Aspen Ray, 3-for-4, two RBI; Carlee Conrad, 1-for-3, RBI; and Alley Hovis, 3-for-4, double, run.

In Lakeside, Alyson Seibert pitched a two-hitter and struck out eight as Northwood won a TAAC game.
Northwood’s Brianna Crispen was 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI.

Junior high results
Otsego defeated Lake, 75-39.
Otsego’s winners were: Sam Berry, 1,600; Adam Lewis, 800; James Mehl, 200 hurdles; Jacob Case, long jump; the 400 relay team of Mehl, Case Alex Krabill, and Marcus Easterwood; the 800 relay team of Chuck Salee, Skylar Bullis, Tony Hernandez, and Lance Sniegowski; and the 1,600 relay team of Dalton Maher, Sniegowski, Berry and Lewis.
Otsego defeated Lake, 62-52.
Otsego’s winners were: Emma Perry, shot put and discus; Hana Jennings, 100 hurdles; Zion Richardson, 100; Maddie Long, 400; Kenzie Wilson, 200; Wilson and Kaila Miller, tie in the high jump; Felicity Jennings, 200; the 800 relay team of Kelly McBride, Jennings, Hannah Snyder and Darian Messer; and the 1,600 relay team of Mason Niceley, Julie Spenser, Hannah Fonseca and Long.
