Prep Roundup: Otsego and Lakota boys lose (2-28-14) PDF Print E-mail

Otsego and Lakota both lost boys basketball sectional championship games Friday.
Otsego was a 60-46 loser to Upper Sandusky and Lakota was an 89-27 loser to Liberty-Benton.
In other games, it was: Rogers 94, Lake 74; Perrysburg 53, Anthony Wayne 41; and Eastwood 61, Margaretta 44.

DIVISION II
Upper Sandusky 60, Otsego 46
At Riverdale, Upper Sandusky led 33-17 at the half on the way to a sectional final victory over Otsego.
Jalen Myers led the Knights with 22 points and Schyler Scherff scored 17 as only four Otsego players scored in the game.
Otsego finished 10-14.
Cody Coffield led four Rams in double figures with 18 points.

DIVISION III
Liberty-Benton 89, Lakota 27
At Findlay High School, Liberty-Benton shutout Lakota, 10-0 in the first quarter on the way to the sectional final victory.
The Raiders had 32 turnovers to only four for Liberty-Benton.
Dakota Bowling led Lakota with nine points and Kyle Below had seven rebounds. Lakota finished 8-15.
John Darnall scored 23 points for Liberty-Benton.

STATE BOWLING
Robinson finishes 29th
At Wayne Webb’s Bowl in Columbus, Rossford’s Mason Robinson finished 29th in the Division II state tournament.
He had games of 186, 215 and 185 for a 586 series.
