Northwood piled up 426 yards on the way to a 40-27 win over Edon in the Toledo Area Athletic Conference opener for both teams.
In other games, it was: Perrysburg 42, Bowling Green 2; Eastwood 40, Woodmore 12; Lake 38, Otsego 0; Elmwood 34, Fostoria 16; Genoa 40, Rossford 6; Tiffin Calvert 33, Lakota 6; and Hopewell-Loudon 30, North Baltimore 7.

Northwood 40, Edon 27
In Northwood, Dominik Bermejo carried the ball 23 times for 170 yards to pace the Rangers. He scored on runs of 3, 25 and 42 yards and also caught a 35-yard touchdown pass from Michael Vallejo.
Jake Davenport rushed 10 times for 100 yards, including a 53-yard scoring run. He also caught an 83-yard TD pass from Vallejo.
Vallejo finished the game 2-of-2 passing for 118 yards.
Edon’s Caden Sapp rushed 14 times for 77 yards and was 15-of-27 passing for 163 yards with three touchdown passes and two interceptions.
Both teams are 2-2 overall.

Genoa 40, Rossford 6
In Rossford, Casey Gose rushed six times for 137 yards and scored three TDs as seventh-ranked Genoa improved to 4-0 with a Northern Buckeye Conference win.
David Nutter added 102  yards and two TDs on 17 carries for Genoa, which rushed for 322 of its 386 total yards.
Dylan Losiewicz had 15 carries for 66 yards for Rossford (2-2), including a 2-yard TD run. The Bulldogs ran for 132 yards and Kyle Sherman completed 9-of-19 passes for 108 yards.

Elmwood 34, Fostoria 16
In Jerry City, Austin Isaacs ran for two touchdowns and two 2-point conversions to help the Royals post their first win of the season in the NBC opener for both schools.
Isaacs finished with 114 yards rushing on 18 carries.
Noah Baker, on a 2-yard run, Aaron Arnold, on a 4-yard run, and Sawyer Haines, on a fumble recovery in the end zone, also scored for Elmwood, 1-3 overall.
Maurice Haskins scored all 16 of Fostoria points, rushing for two TDs and two 2-point conversions. Haskins had 17 carries for 111 yards for the Redmen, 0-4 overall.

Tiffin Calvert 33, Lakota 6
In Tiffin, Lakota rushed for minus-28 yards in a Midland Athletic League-opening loss to Tiffin Calvert.
Jack Raymond caught two passes for  65 yards for the Raiders, 3-1 overall.
Jordan Jaso scored Lakota’s lone touchdown, a one-yard effort late in the contest.

Hopewell-Loudon 30,
North Baltimore 7
In North Baltimore, Cody Malone rushed for 280 yards and three touchdowns to help Hopewell-Loudon down North Baltimore in the MAL opener for both teams.
Andrew Hollinger scored NB’s touchdown with 39 seconds remaining in the game,
Hopewell-Loudon finished with 431 yards in total offense while NB had 263 total yards.
Hopewell is 3-1 overall and NB is 2-2.

Bowling Green beat Timberstone, 25-23, 25-23. Leaders for BG were Abby Ray with 14 points; Cate Korsnack with seven points; and Angelina Mendieta with four kills.
EIGHTH GRADE
Bowling Green beat Timberstone, 25-9 25-11. BG’s leaders were: Lauryn Dangler with 12 points, including five aces; and Holly Roe with 14 points.
