After trailing 6-3 at the half, Northwood scored five touchdowns in the second half on the way to a 38-20 Toledo Area Athletic Conference win over Toledo Christian Friday.
In other games, it was: Perrysburg 55, Northview 10; Southview 51, Bowling Green 14; Eastwood 64, Rossford 17; Lake 59, Elmwood 14; Genoa 73, Otsego 26; Carey 65, North Baltimore 0; and Mohawk 57, Lakota 26.

Northwood 38,
Toledo Christian 20
In Northwood, Dominik Bermejo was the workhorse, rushing for 208 yards and three touchdown on 29 carries as the Rangers rallied for the win.
Northwood and Toledo Christian came into the game tied for first place in the TAAC at 4-0. Northwood is now 6-2 overall and Toledo Christian is 5-3.
When Toledo Christan’s Caleb Wotring scored on a 2-yard run and with the 2-point conversion, the Eagles were up 14-6 in the third quarter.
Jake Davenport and Bermejo each scored a touchdown to put the Rangers up 17-14.
Wotring scored on a 38-yard run to give the Eagles a 20-17 lead, but Northwood scored the final three touchdowns of the game to seal the win.
Northwood had 307 total yards, including 287 on the ground.
With the 208-yard effort, Bermejo has rushed for 1,164 yards on 125 carries this season.

Genoa 73, Otsego 26
In Tontogany, David Nutter ran for 173 yards and four touchdowns as third-ranked Genoa improved to 8-0 overall and 5-0 in the Northern Buckeye Conference.
Two of Otsego’s three TDs came on passes from Cody Downs to Schyler Scherff, covering 2 and 8 yards.
Otsego (4-4, 2-3) rushed for 153 yards and passed for 123. Cole Gorski caught seven passes for 113 yards.
Genoa totaled 517 yards, 300 coming on the ground.

Lake 59, Elmwood 14
In Jerry City, Jared Rettig completed 15-of-22 passes for 281 yards and five TDs as Lake moved to 6-2 overall and 3-2 in the NBC.
Rettig threw scoring passes of 17, 12 and 51 yards to Adam Duncan, and 8 and 42 yards to Todd Walters.
Duncan had eight catches for 154 yards.
Branden Short rushed 11 times for 133 yards for Lake, including a 7-yard TD.
The Flyers rushed for 211 yards.
Elmwood had 173 yards rushing and 88 yards passing. The Royals’ Austin Isaacs ran 27 times for 104 yards.

Mohawk 57, Lakota 26
In Sycamore, Lakota was out-scored 37-14 in the second half as Mohawk ran away with the Midland Athletic League win.
Collin Timmons was 20-of-38 for 238 yards, while Albert Guerra ran 20 times for 142 yards.
The Raiders are 3-5 overall and 0-5 in the MAL.

Carey 65, North Baltimore 0
In Carey, despite tallying 213 yards on the ground, North Baltimore was shut out in an MAL game.
Taylor Bishop led NB (2-6, 0-5) with 135 yards rushing.

EIGHTH GRADE
Eastwood defeated Otsego, 38-0 to finish 7-0 and win the NBC title.
Antonio Salinas scored three touchdowns for the Eagles, Grant Hirzel returned an interception for a TD, and Cade Boose caught a touchdown pass from Jake Pickerel. Ian Downard scored two 2-point conversions while Pickerel ran for one and threw to Cory Coffman for another. Hirzel had two interceptions, Boose had one and Caleb Stevens recovered a fumble.

VOLLEYBALL
EIGHTH GRADE
Bowling Green won the Northern Lakes League championship, defeating Anthony Wayne, 25-15, 17-25, 25-23. Holly Roe and Rachel Emans had seven points, and Alexis Kisor had four blocks for the Bobcats. BG finished 17-4.
