Northwood's baseball team lost a conference game and Elmwood's softball team won in eight innings Thursday. PHOTO GALLERY
Northwood lost 8-1 in a Toledo Area Athletic Conference game to Ottawa Hills.
Elmwood beat Woodmore 3-0 in eight innings to improve to 5-0 in the Northern Buckeye Conference.

BASEBALL
Ottawa Hills 8, Northwood 1
In Northwood, the Rangers had eight hits, but scored only once.
Top hitters for Northwood were:  Evan Perkins, 2-for-3, double; Jacob Davenport, 1-for-2, double; Jack Romstadt, 2-for-3, double.
Northwood is 5-9, 3-3.

Lake 19, Fostoria 9
In Millbury, Lake scored in every inning en route to an NBC victory.
The Flyers are 8-7, 3-2.
Top hitters for Lake were: Connor Bowen, 2-for-3, triple, three RBI; Cody Witt, 2-for-4, two RBI; Brad Ackerman, 2-for-4, double, three RBI; Casey Blank, 2-for-3, RBI; and Joel Densic, 3-for-4, two RBI.

SOFTBALL
Elmwood 3, Woodmore 0,
8 innings
In Woodville, Elmwood improved to 13-4, 5-0.
Elmwood's Miranda Benschoter had 11 strikeouts and gave up two hits and two walks.
Her counterpart, Madeline Phillip had 13 strikeouts, gave up three hits and walked none.
Three Royals had hits in the extra-inning rally: Rebecca Harvey (home run); Lindsay George (single, RBI); and Ragan Yarnell (single, RBI).

Rossford 13, Old Fort 6
In Rossford, the Bulldogs slugged 15 hits, including three home runs, in a nonleague win.
Maggie Leahy (2-for 3, two RBI) homered as did Kelly Swope (2-for-3, three RBI) and Lyndsey Skala (2-for-3, three RBI).
Other top hitters for Rossford were: Kirsten Keller, 3-for-3, double; RBI; Margo Jackson, 3-for-4, two RBI; Claire Verbosky, 2-for-3; and Maddie York, 2-for-3.
The Bulldogs are 12-4.

Fostoria 4, Lake 1
In Millbury, Sumer Woodruff had the Flyers lone hit in an NBC game.

Northwood 13,

In Northwood, the Rangers had 15 hits and improved to 5-1 in the TAAC and 8-9 overall.
Alyson Seibert had six strikeouts and was 4-for-4 with a double.
Kate Napier was 2-for-3 with a triple and Marissa Bonnette was 2-for-2.

BOYS TRACK
Eastwood beat Rossford, 80-43.
Eastwood's winners were: Meece, shot put (39-3); Ernsthauson, discus (110-5); Baugher, long jump (18-4 3/4 ); Montag, pole vault (9-0); Emahiser, 100 (12.75); McCauley, Avalos, Garza, Emahiser, 400 relay (52.92); Emahiser, 400 (59.94); Salinas, Reiter, Niswander, Brenot, 800 relay (1:48.41); Baugher, 200 hurdles (28.92); and Reiter, 200 (205.72).
Rossford's winners were: Voss, high jump (5-2); Jackson, 110 hurdles (18.08); Nawrocki, 1,600 (5:11.25); Pietrasz, 800 (2:24.37); Jackson, Stolar, Nawrocki, Pietrasz, 1,600 relay (4:04.86).
Perrysburg beat Bowling Green, 59-55.
Winners for BG were: Patton (shot put); Lane (discus); Cook (100); Cotterman (200); Patton (shot put); and the 1600 relay team. The 400 relay team of Furnas, Leffel, Cook and Cotterman broke the school record with a time of 48.7.
GIRLS TRACK
Eastwood beat Rossford, 80-39.
Eastwood's winners were: Ameling, shot put (29-2); Meyer, long jump (13-8 3/4); Lang, pole vault (6-0); Swartz, 100 hurdles (19.9); Weis, 1,600 (6:23.03); Molina, Swartz, Schroeder and Tressel, 400 relay (56.64); J. Davidson, 400 (1:09.92); Lang, 200 hurdles (35.0); Tressel, 200 (28.31); Davidson, Molina, Shanks and Nissen, 1,600 relay (4:54.15)
Rossford's winners were: Beyer, discus (73-1); Clay, high jump (4-6); Clay, 100 (13.41); Rossford, 800 relay (2:06.46); and Clay, 800 (2:30.72).
Bowling Green beat Perrysburg, 71-43.
Winners for BG were: Yarnell (shot and discus); Glandorff (100 and 200 hurdles); Williford (200); Schonter (800); Applegate (1600); 400 and 800 relay teams.
