Lake's girls soccer team opened its season with a dominating 9-0 win Thursday at Northern Buckeye Conference opponent Otsego.
The Flyers had seven different goal scorers and allowed the Knights just one shot on goal.
Catie Phalen and Kaity Weis each scored twice for Lake.
Alexis Hansen, Allison Terry, Tabitha Aikman, Kayla Saffran and Lizi Cannon each added one goal for the Flyers.
Emily Lovell and Lauren Ozuk combined for a one-save shutout in goal for Lake.

Woodmore 2, Eastwood 1
In Elmore, Eastwood fell to 0-2 overall with a 2-1 NBC loss to Woodmore.
Courtney Niswander scored Eastwood's only goal, while Alex Brockschmidt recorded 10 saves.

BOYS
BGHS 9, Clay 3
Brian LeGalley scored five goals as Bowling Green posted the nonleague win.
Also for BG, Chance Bailey has two goals and an assist,
Jusdon McDaniel and Josiah Nichols each had one goal and Kassie Memmer had an assist.

VOLLEYBALL
Perrysburg wins
In Toledo, Perrysburg edged Notre Dame Academy, 17-25, 25-17, 25-19, 22-25, 16-14 in its season-opener.
Perrysburg's leaders were: Audra Appold, 21 kills, 23 digs; Savannah Miller, 19 kills; and Chloe Matuga, 45 assists, 14 digs.


Eastwood falls to AW
In Whitehouse, Eastwood fell to Anthony Wayne, 25-23, 25-10, 25-20, in a season-opening nonleague match.
Leaders for the Eagles were: Elise Wolff, eight kills; Mackenzie Albright, 13 digs; Alyssa Decker, two aces; and Jaci Juergens 12 assists.

Rossford wins
In Rossford, the Bulldogs defeated Wauseon, 25-23, 23-25, 25-19, 25-19.

Lakota wins
In Kansas, Lakota opened the season with a 25-16, 25-14, 23-25, 25-15 win over Monclova Christian.
Leaders for the Raiders were: Makayla Kiser, eight aces, seven assists, one kill, two digs; Destiney Long-Meyer, two aces, five digs; Bree Long-Meyer, five kills; and Aubrey Bickford, five assists.

GOLF
BOYS
Rossford 164, Southview 165
In Perrysburg, Mason Robinson's medalist round of 39 led Rossford to a dual-match win over Southview at Crosswinds Golf Course.
Ryan Niese and Jackson Murphree each shot 40, while Mack Miller and Brian Burks each had 45.

GIRLS
BGHS 192, Elmwood 202
Bowling Green's Charlee Carroll shot a 44 as BG defeated Elmwood in a dual match at Bowling Green Country Club.
Also scoring for the Bobcats were Alisha Noon, 46; Andrea Cromley, 51; and Morgan Roe, 51.
Elmwood's scorers were: Savannah Baker, 47; Alexis Miller, 50; Sierro Semko, 51; and Taylor Carr, 54.

Eastwood 218, Genoa 240
At Hidden Hills in Woodville, Eastwood's scorers were: Hannah Cook, 51; Abbi Sheldrick and Samantha Whritenour, 55 each; and Alysa Rice, 57.

Junior varsity results
VOLLEYBALL
Anthony Wayne defeated Eastwood 25-21, 25-15.
Perrysburg beat Notre Dame Academy, 25-20, 22-25, 27-25.
