Lake’s boys improved to 14-2 overall with a 52-36 win over Toledo Woodward on Saturday night. In other boys games, it was: Liberty-Benton 64, Rossford 40; and Upper Scioto Valley 57, North Baltimore 21. In girls games, it was: Notre Dame Academy 40, Perrysburg 38; and Patrick Henry 66, North Baltimore 48. BOYS Lake 52, Woodward 36 In Toledo, Lake out-scored Woodward 20-6 in the first quarter on its way to a nonleague win. The Flyers were led by Connor Bowen, Jared Rettig and Jayce Vancena, who scored 15, 13 and 11 points, respectively. Liberty-Benton 64, Rossford 40 In Findlay, Liberty-Benton jumped out to an early 20-11 lead and never looked back as it downed Rossford in a nonleague game. Derek Mack led the Bulldogs, 7-9 overall, with 15 points. No other player scored in double figures. Ryan Geise led L-B (13-1) with 21 points. Upper Scioto Valley 57, North Baltimore 21 In North Baltimore, Upper Scioto Valley took a 21-6 lead into the half and limited North Baltimore to 15 points in the second half, beating the Tigers in a nonleague game. Jacob Frost led NB with seven points. The Tigers are 2-14 overall. GIRLS Patrick Henry 66, North Baltimore 48 In North Baltimore, Megan Wright’s 23 points weren’t enough to lift North Baltimore over Patrick Henry. Wright added seven rebounds. Olivia Frost contributed eight points and seven rebounds. The Tigers, 8-10, overall were out-scored in every quarter except the third where they held a 14-12 advantage.
