Lake’s boys won for the 16th time this season, downing Rossford, 58-48 in a Northern Buckeye Conference game Friday. In other boys games, it was: Northview 68, Bowling Green 65; Maumee 58, Perrysburg 55; Otsego 68, Fostoria 36; Eastwood 63, Woodmore 58; Elmwood 71, Genoa 65; and Northwood 69, Emmanuel Christian 60. In girls games, it was: Seneca East 71, Lakota 59; and Hopewell-Loudon 70, North Baltimore 66. BOYS Lake 58, Rossford 48 In Rossford, Lake held on to improve to 16-2 overall and 8-2 in the NBC. The Flyers took a 48-29 lead into the fourth quarter. Connor Bowen led the Flyers with 19 points, Jared Rettig scored 15 points and Ben Swartz added 10 points. Jayce Vancena had 10 of Lake’s 38 rebounds. Derek Miller and Nate Childress each scored 13 points for the Bulldogs, 8-10, 6-4. Eastwood 63, Woodmore 58 In Luckey, Jake Schmeltz made 6-of-8 free throws in the fourth quarter to help Eastwood rally for the NBC win. Schmeltz finished with 34 points, making six 3-pointers. Donny Bowen scored 23 points for Woodmore, which took a 51-45 lead in the final eight minutes. Eastwood is 6-11 overall and 6-4 in the NBC, while Woodmore is 6-10, 4-6. Elmwood 71, Genoa 65 In Genoa, Elmwood scored 25 points in the second quarter on the way to an NBC victory. Top scorers for Elmwood were: Zach Foster, 15 points, Derick Mobus 14 points; Mica Robinson, 12 points; and Aaron Arnold, 11 points. In the second quarter, Foster had eight points and Sebastian Baxter scored seven. Jake Schimming scored 20 points for Genoa. Elmwood is 6-11 overall and 6-4 in the NBC while Genoa is 2-13, 0-2. Northwood 69, Emmanuel Christian 60 In Toledo, Tyler Williams and Evan Perkins combined for 42 points as Northwood won a Toledo Area Athletic Conference game. Williams scored 22 points and Perkins had 20. John Segura chipped in with 11 points for the Rangers, 4-12 overall and 2-7 in the TAAC. EC is 8-7, 4-5. GIRLS Hopewell-Loudon 70, North Baltimore 66 In North Baltimore, Hopewell-Loudon had four players score in double figures as the Chieftains won a Midland Athletic League game. Courtney Burns led Hopewell-Loudon with 19 points, including five 3-pointers, and Cassandra Hohman had a double-double with 16 points and a game-high 12 rebounds. NB’s Megan Wright scored a game-high 31 points while Olivia Frost added 18 and Ricci Emahiser scored 13. Hopewell-Loudon is 12-7 overall and 4-4 in the MAL while NB is 8-11 and 3-5 Seneca East 71, Lakota 59 In Attica, Lakota’s Katie Park scored 22 points and had 11 rebounds, but Seneca East prevailed in the MAL game. Also for the Raiders, Rachael Feick scored 12 points and Stephanie Miller had 11 points and 12 assists. Seneca East is 12-6 overall and 5-4 in the MAL while Lakota is 3-16, 1-8. WRESTLING Elmwood wins twice Elmwood beat Hopewell-Loudon, 41-15 and Lakota, 65-9 Friday in a double-dual meet. Hopewell-Loudon beat Lakota, 48-9. Junior high results EIGHTH GRADE GIRLS BASKETBALL Bowling Green beat Perrysburg, 44-30. Mariah Copeland scored 11 points for the Yellow Jackets.
