Perrysburg's Nora Abdul-Aziz, and the Yellow Jackets' doubles team of Erica Fastnacht and Sarah Fastnacht advanced to the semifinals of the Division I district tennis tournament Thursday at Bowling Green State University.
They can clinch a berth in the state tournament by winning their semifinal match Saturday.
Abdul-Aziz opened with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Toledo Central Catholic's Kaitlyn Dominiak and then was a 6-1, 6-1 winner over Ashland's Maggie McGinty.
She will face Notre Dame's Nina Eid in the semifinals.
The Fastnacht team won its opening match, 6-0, 6-1 over Southview's Priya Singh and Keeley Brown. It then defeated Clay's Cassidy Coughlin and Bailey Coughlin, 6-2, 6-3.
They'll face the team of Celina Nowicki and Sydney Seeley of St. Ursula in the semifinals.
Perrysburg's Moira Sams and the doubles team of Jordan Spidel and Camryn Kiel each won their opening matches before falling in the quarterfinals.
Sams was a 6-3, 6-1 winner over St. Ursula's Amanda Fahoury before losing 6-0, 6-1 to Northview's Megan Miller.
Spidel and Kiel beat Anthony Wayne's Meredith Ash and Madalyn Kistner, 6-0, 6-2. Clay's Jennifer Belkofer and Emilie Roman posted a 6-7(1), 7-5, 6-1 over Spidel and Kiel.

Perrysburg finishes
14-0 in NLL
In Perrysburg, the 10th-ranked Yellow Jackets defeated Maumee, 24-15, 25-17, 25-6 to finish 14-0 in the Northern Lakes League. Perrysburg is 20-2 overall.
Perrysburg's leaders were: Audra Appold, 12 kills, five digs; Shannon Fastnacht, seven kills, five aces; Mackenzie Pohlman, six kills; and Chloe Matuga, 26 assists.

BGHS beats Napoleon
Bowling Green defeated Napoleon, 25-19, 25-17, 25-14 in an NLL match.
BG's leaders were: Tyanna Smith, 10 kills; Kendal Glandorff, nine kills Mackenzie Dunn, 18 assists, three aces; and Olivia McGowan, 12 digs, three aces.

Otsego clinches NBC title
In Fostoria, Otsego clinched the Northern Buckeye Conference championship with a 25-10, 25-10, 25-7 victory over the Redmen.
The Knights finished 13-1 in the NBC and are 18-4 overall.
Otsego's leaders were: Abby Hessleschwardt, 11 kills, four aces; Mackenzy Varner, 33 assists, four aces; Mallory Beach, seven kills; and Morgan Smoyer, six kills.

Eastwood sweeps Woodmore
In Elmore, Eastwood was a 25-16, 25-15, 25-11 winner over Woodmore, clinching second place in the NBC.
The Eagles are 16-6 overall and 12-2 in the NBC.
Leading Eastwood was: Jaci Juergens, three aces, six kills, 24 assists, seven digs; Mackenzie Albright, 14 digs; Elise Wolff, 15 kills, six digs; and Cassidy Rolf, Sarah Klink, four kills each.

Elmwood downs Genoa
In Jerry City, Elmwood swept Genoa, 25-7, 25-11, 25-15 in an NBC match
Leading the Royals were: Amanda Jones, 26 assists, nine digs; Madison Arnold, 16 kills, four blocks; Marissa Swavel, nine digs, five aces; Jasmine Marsh, four kills, six digs, three blocks; Ashley Veryser, 13 kills, four blocks.

Rossford beats Lake
In Millbury, Rossford beat Lake, 25-16, 25-14, 25-17 in an NBC match.
Leaders for the Bulldogs were: Mikhala Dunne, 11 assists; Karly Durco, three aces, five kills, four digs; Julie Hotz, 12 kills, three blocks, seven digs; Margo Jackson, 12 digs; Maggie Leahy, eight kills, 10 digs; and Danielle Meller, 12 assists, five digs.

Mohawk beat NB
In North Baltimore, Mohawk beat the Tigers, 25-12, 25-3, 25-5 in a Midland Athletic League match.

BGHS 1, Springfield 0
Hope Teggart, with an assist from Brittany Lowe, scored for the Bobcats in their NLL win Wednesday.
BG's Livvy Dill made eight saves.

Eastwood 5, Otsego 1
In Tontogany, Eastwood scored three times in the second half Thurdsay en route to the NBC win over Otsego.
Scoring goals for the Eagles were: Reagan Boice, Courtney Niswander, Desi Nidiffer, Kortni Montag and Maddie Cherry.
Niswander, Cherry and Kaleigh Obrock each recorded assists, while Morgan Donaldson had two saves for Eastwood.

Junior varsity results
Bowling Green beat Napoleon, 28-26, 27-25. Stephanie Hermes led BG with 11 kills, while Kinsey Kale added eight digs and Cassidy Williford had seven assists.
Eastwood beat Woodmore, 25-12, 25-15.
Elmwood defeated Genoa, 25-22, 25-22.
Rossford beat Lake, 25-20, 25-23.
Mohawk beat North Baltimore, 25-19, 25-19.

Freshman results
North Baltimore beat Mohawk, 25-23, 12-25, 26-24.

Junior high results
McCord beat Bowling Green 24-0. Leading the defense for the Bobcats were Jeremiah Williams and Dustin McPheron, who each recovered a McCord fumble. Drew Stierwalt led the BG's offense.
Bowling Green beat McCord, 22-6. Brian Dible scored twice for BG and Spencer Rader threw a 40-yard pass to Nick Jackson. Leaders for the defense were: Nick Jackson, Cam Nagel, and Blake Powers, all with six or more tackles; Patrick Freeworth, and Kaiden Robinson, each with a sack, and Hunter Reimer with a fumble recovery.
Eastwood beat Fostoria 48-12. Ian Downard ran for three touchdowns, Cooper Comes ran for two scores and Grant Hirzel and Cade Boos each ran for one TD. Boos also had two two-point conversions runs, while Corey Coffman caught a two-point conversion pass from Jake Pickerel. Tyler Haas and Logan Frobose each had fumble recoveries.
