Elmwood girls improve to 8-0 in NBC
Elmwood’s girls remained undefeated in the Northern Buckeye Conference Tuesday with a 38-34 win over
Woodmore.
The Royals are 8-0 in the conference, while every other team has at least three losses.
In other girls games, it was: Lake 71, Eastwood 45; Otsego 62, Rossford 58, triple overtime; Bowling
Green 59, Woodward 56; Maumee 65, Northwood 29; and Lakota 47, Vanlue 36.
In boys games, it was: Perrysburg 71, Springfield 42; and Southview 71, Bowling Green 53.
BASKETBALL GIRLS
Elmwood 38, Woodmore 34
In Elmore, Elmwood rallied from a 27-24 deficit in the fourth quarter.
Tiffany Hillard scored 12 points for Elmwood (10-4 overall). Woodmore is 6-9, 5-3.
Lake 71, Eastwood 45
In Luckey, Catie Phalen led Lake (7-7, 4-3) with 23 points, including five 3-pointers, in an NBC game.

Mackenzie Albright had 12 points for Eastwood (2-12, 1-8).
Otsego 62, Rossford 58, 3OT
In Tontogany, Otsego out-scored Rossford, 7-3, in the third overtime to claim an NBC win.
Abby Hesselschwardt had 24 points and 11 rebounds for Otsego (6-8, 4-4), while Lindsey Donald added 15
points and 14 rebounds, and Morgan Smoyer had 12 points and eight blocked shots.
Three players scored in double figures for Rossford (9-5, 5-3) – Kirsten Keller had 19, Julie Hotz scored
17 and Cheyenne Davis had 12.
BGHS 59, Woodward 56
In Toledo, Hanna Williford scored 19 points as BG improved to 9-8 overall.
Also for the Bobcats, Livvy Dill added 15 points and Kendal Glandorff scored 10.
BG built a 45-37 lead after three quarters and held off Woodward after that.
Maumee 65, Northwood 29
In Maumee, the Panthers (1-13) won their first game of the season.
Alex Rable paced Northwood (1-12) with 11 points.
Lakota 47, Vanlue 36
In Kansas, Morgan Mowry scored 12 points for Lakota (3-11).
BOYS
Elmwood 68, Fostoria 44
In Fostoria, Elmwood took a 33-20 lead en route to an NBC win.
Philip Buckingham led Elmwood (2-10, 1-6) with 13 points, while Tayte Lentz and Jarrett Childress both
had 11, and Deven Peter scored 10.
Fostoria is 2-11, 0-7.

In Millbury, Eastwood split two matches and Lake lost twice in NBC action.

SWIMMING BOYS
Findlay 130, BGHS 45
Corey Gilbert and Trae Gulgin each won twice for BG.
Gilbert won the 200 individual medley (2:13.25) and the 100 freestyle (52.99).
Gulgin won the 100 butterfly (59.93) and the 500 free (5:12.99).
GIRLS
Findlay 96, BGHS 84
Emily Sehmann won the 200 IM (2:13.36) and the 100 backstroke (61.94) for BG.
Other winners for BG were: Emma Cavins, 500 free (6:02.54); Mallory Glenn, 100 breast stroke (71.15); and
the 200 free relay team of Glenn, Larissa Leck, Sehmann and Cavins, 1:48.99.
BOWLING BOYS
Rossford beats BG
At Al-Mar Lanes, Rossford was a 2,874-2,689 winner over BG.
Rossford’s Karl Hermes had games of 213 and 241 for a 454 total.
Other top scores for Rossford were: Drew Pinardo, 221; Brennan Reynolds, 224, 407; and Mason Robinson,
236, 405.
BG’s top scores were: Lucas Jenne, 212; and Jacob Spangenberg, 215, 218, 433.
Eastwood wins
At Tri-County Bowl, Eastwood beat Gibsonburg 2,551-2,92 to improve its record to 9-2 overall and remain
in first place in the Northern Ohio Bowling Conference.
Kyle Waynick led Eastwood with a 226 game and a 424 total.
GIRLS
BG beats Rossford
At Al-Mar Lanes, BG was a 2,631-2,194 winner over Rossford.
BG’s Alisha Noon had a 357 total, and K. Knell had a 190 game.
Rossford’s Kathleen Hermes had a 173 game and a 343 total.
Eastwood victorious
At Tri-County Lanes, Eastwood defeated Gibsonburg, 2,466-2,032 to improve its record to 9-2 overall and
remain in second place in the NOBC.
Eastwood’s Kat Przybylski had a 220 game and a 392 total.

BOWLING BOYS
Bowling Green beat Rossford, 2,510-2,475. Rossford’s TJ Desmond had a 204 game and a 376 series, while
BG’s Travis Noon had a 246 game and a 418 series.

EIGHTH GRADE BASKETBALL GIRLS
Bowling Green beat Maumee, 36-30, in its season-opener. Alexis Kiser led BG with 12 points, and Holly Roe
added nine.
BOYS
McCord beat Bowling Green, 32-27, in overtime. BG’s Spencer Rader scored 12 points.
SEVENTH GRADE BASKETBALL GIRLS
Perrysburg beat Springfield, 36-19. Nadeen Jemaa scored 10 points for Perrysburg (3-0).
Perrysburg beat Timberstone, 21-19. Jemaa scored eight points.
Rossford beat Otsego, 19-13. Madison Dzierwa led the Knights with six points. Otsego finished its regular
season 7-8.
