Elmwood's boys won their own invitational Monday at Birch Run Golf Course in North Baltimore. The Royals shot a 339 total to defeat five other teams. Fostoria St. Wendelin was second at 343. Also from Wood County, Lakota was fourth with 374 and Northwood was sixth with 442. Elmwood's Brad Corbin was second individually with a 76, one stroke behind medalist Bryce Gorrell of Hopewell-Loudon. The Royals' other scores were: Kayleb Stuff, 83; Allen Dyar, 86; and Trevor Robbins, 94. Lakota's scores were: Makayla Dull, 83; Josh Mason, 96; Nate Ray, 97; and Hunter Chalfin, 98. Northwood's scores were: Dylan Makowski, 95; Dustin Sigurdson, 114; Dylan Schumaker, 115; and Conan Lutes, 118. BGHS finishes fourth In the Irish Golf Invitational at Stone Ridge Golf Club, Bowling Green's Nolan Dill won a three-hole playoff to earn medalist honors in the 19-team event. Dill shot a 71. BG was sixth with a 312 total. Findlay was the winner at 299. Other BG scorers were: Phillip Rich, 78; Tyler Remeis, 81; and Andrew Herringshaw 82. Perrysburg was 13th with a 344 total. The Yellow Jackets' scorers were: Spencer George 82; Mike McMullen, 86; Zam, 88; and Mitchel Skotynsky, 88. At Stone Ridge on Friday, Dill led the Bobcats with a 75 in a 312-294 win over Defiance. Other BG scorers were: Trey Walker, 78; Herringshaw, 79; and Remeis, 80. NB 169, Patrick Henry 175 At Birch Run, Brock Boyer was the medalist with a 38 to lead North Baltimore in its season-opener. NB's other scores were: Corey Bean, 41; Garrett Boyer, 43; and Jacob Frost, 47. GIRLS GOLF Perrysburg finishes third At Pebble Creek in Lexington, Perrysburg was third in the 14-team Lexington Invitational with a 387 total. Sandusky Perkins was the winner with a 365. Scorers for Perrysburg were: Monica Dorner, 87; Kendra Wolf, 99; Katie Krieger, 99; and Katie Diehl, 102. Mohawk 223, Elmwood 230, Ridgedale 254 At Hickory Hills, Elmwood's scores were: Savannah Baker, 51; Taylor Carr, 52; Alexis Miller, 63; and Heather Ickes, 64. Elmwood's record is 2-1. Junior varsity results BOYS GOLF Eastwood finished eighth (386), Rossford ninth (392) and Lake 10th (394) in the Rossford Invitational at Detwiler. Nick Coffman led Eastwood with 83, while M. Miller had a 93 for Rossford and C. Brossia was low for Lake with a 91. |
