BOYS Elmwood 52, Otsego 48 PHOTO GALLERY In Jerry City, the Royals trailed 29-18 at halftime but out-scored the Knights, 34-19 in the second half to pull out the win. Elmwood is 5-4 overall and 3-3 in the NBC. Otsego is 5-5, 2-4. Tyler Rosendale scored 16 points and Max Zyski added 11 to lead Elmwood, which finished 6-of-12 from 3-point range. Tommy Rodgers led Otsego, which went 0-for-9 from beyond the arc, with 16 points. GIRLS Perrysburg 59, Springfield 27 In Holland, Perrysburg sophomore Sarah Baer tied the school record for rebounds in a game with 24 as the Yellow Jackets cruised to the win. Baer’s 24 boards tie the mark previously set by Perrysburg’s Kim Johnson in 1985 and Ann Elliot in 1983. Kelsea Newman scored a game-high 17 points for Perrysburg, and Becca Tudor added 13 points. Natalie Yoder led Springfield (3-8, 0-6) with eight points. Elmwood 53, Old Fort 39 In Old Fort, Elmwood took control of the game early and went on to post the 24-point non-league win Tuesday. Sierra Beckford led the Royals, now 7-4 overall, with 13 points and Brittany George added 10. Kristen Curtis had eight rebounds for Elmwood while Brittany Gross had four steals and three assists. Vanlue 44, Lakota 38 In Kansas, Vanlue out-scored Lakota, 16-11 in the fourth quarter to secure the non-league win. Katie Park had 15 points and 11 rebounds for Lakota, now 1-12 overall, and Rachel Feick added 11 points while Stephanie Miller had seven assists. BOWLING GIRLS Eastwood remains undefeated Eastwood remained undefeated after sweeping a quadrangular in the Northern Ohio Bowling Conference Monday at Varsity Lanes. Eastwood shot 2,604 to defeat New Riegel, 2,114, Fostoria, 1,967, and Lakota, 1,882. The Eagles were led by Jessica Young with a 245 game and 426 total, and Emily Elston 236, 385. The team is 15-0 overall and lead the NOBC at 11-0. At Willard, Eastwood topped Willard in a non-conference match Thursday at Dynasty Lanes, 2,433-2,153. Harley Vaught led that match with 201 and 385 with Hannah Cook totaling 350. BOYS Eagles win four Eastwood hosted Fostoria, Lakota and New Riegel on Monday in an NOBC match at Varsity Lanes and defeated all three opponents. The Eagles totaled 2,846. Fostoria shot 2,512, with New Riegel at 2,056, and Lakota, 2,029. Eastwood remains in first place in the conference with a 10-1 record (14-1 overall). Jared Haas led the Eagles with a 235 game and 432 total. Kyle Waynick added 408. At Willard, the team defeated Willard Thursday at Dynasty Lanes, 2,816-2,603 in a non-conference match. Waynick led the effort rolling games of 236 and 216 for 452. Tommy Blanchard had a 219 and totaled 374. Andrew Dennis and Jared Melcher each had a 200 game.
