Bowling Green’s boys posted a nonleague win and Lake’s boys improved to 10-1 in the Northern Buckeye Conference during high school basketball action Saturday night.
BG was a 67-64 winner over Tiffin Columbian, and Lake was a 79-53 winner over Fostoria.
In other boys games, it was: Wauseon 60, Elmwood 28; and Ottawa Hills 73, Northwood 35.
In girls games, it was: Southview 57, Bowling Green 54; Perrysburg 48, Lima Bath 38; Elmwood 55, Lake 49; Otsego 45, Swanton 41; Mohawk 69, North Baltimore 39; and Arcadia 63, Lakota 31.

BASKETBALL
BOYS
BGHS 67,
Tiffin Columbian 64
In Tiffin, BG built a 56-46 lead with six minutes remaining and held off Columbian.
The Bobcats only had five players score, but four reached double figures.
Mitchell Gardner led BG (4-15 overall) with 18 points, Jackson Stewart and Trey Walker both had 15, and LaMontá Stone chipped in with 14.
BG made nine 3-pointers in the game.
Columbian is 9-8.

Lake 79, Fostoria 53
In Fostoria, Jared Rettig had 26 points and 16 rebounds, and Connor Bowen added 16 points for Lake.
The Flyers, ranked ninth in Division II, are 17-1 overall. Fostoria is 2-15, 0-11.
Lake hosts Rossford, 9-1 in the NBC, in a battle for the conference lead Tuesday.

Wauseon 60, Elmwood 28
In Wauseon, Aaron Arnold had 10 points for Elmwood (4-14).

Ottawa Hills 73,
Northwood 35
In Northwood, Dillan Cathers had nine points for the Rangers (0-15, 0-11) in a Toledo Area Athletic Conference game.

GIRLS
Southview 57, BGHS 54
In the Stroh Center, Southview overcame a 30-21 deficit at the half to improve to 15-6 overall and 9-4 in the Northern Lakes League.
Three players scored in double figures for BG (10-11, 4-9) — Tyanna Smith had 12, Livvy Dill scored 11 and Reagan Morman added 10.

Elmwood 55, Lake 49
In Millbury, Kristen Curtis scored 17 points and recorded 10 rebounds as Elmwood improved to 15-5 overall and 12-1 in the NBC.
Tiffany Hillard added 16 points for the Royals.
Lake (9-10, 6-6) was out-scored 17-4 in the second quarter.
Alexis Hansen and Catie Phalen led the Flyers with 15 and 11 points, respectively.

Otsego 45, Swanton 41
In Tontogany, Otsego rallied from a 24-14 halftime deficit to improve to 9-10.
Abby Hesselschwardt led Otsego with 15 points, followed by Lindsey Donald with 14 and Morgan Smoyer with 10.

Arcadia 63, Lakota 31
In Kansas, Katie Park had eight points for Lakota (4-13).

Mohawk 69,
North Baltimore 39
In North Baltimore, Olivia Frost had 13 points and seven rebounds for the Tigers in a Midland Athletic League game.
NB is 7-13, 2-8. Mohawk is 6-4 in the MAL.

WRESTLING
Rossford finishes second
In Rossford, the Bulldogs finished second in their own invitational.
Whitmer won the 16-team tournament with 197 points, while Rossford had 174.5, Northwood was 13th with 30 and Rossford’s ‘B” team was 14th with 26.
Northwood’s Devon Dunbar (126 pounds) and Rossford’s Brandon Vasquez (285) won individual titles. Dunbar was named the meet’s MVP.
Dunbar was a 5-2 winner over Rossford’s CJ Ball in the final, and Vasquez pinned Bowsher’s TJ Mack in 2:58 of that final.
Christian Goldsmith (120), Joe Burlage (132) and Casey Orr (160) also finished second for Rossford.
Jake Burlage (132) ant Mat Myers (220) were third for Rossford, while Tanner Krotzer (106), Evan Austin (138) and Andy Myers (170) were third.
