Perrysburg’s Jeffrey Schorsch won the Division I tennis singles championship Saturday at BGSU’s Keefe Courts.
Schorsch, a senior, beat teammate Troy Weider, 6-0, 6-2 in the semifinal and then defeated Toledo Central Catholic’s Dugan Delp, 6-1, 6-1 in the championship match.
The top two singles players advance to the state tournament this Friday and Saturday at the Ohio State University outdoor varsity tennis courts.
Schorsch finished fourth in the state tournament last season.
