Perrysburg's girls finished second in Division I-A Saturday at the Tiffin Cross Country Carnival at Hedges-Boyer Park.
The Yellow Jackets had 128 points to trail only Centerville with 67 in the 34-team meet. Centerville finished second in the state last season.
Perrysburg's top five runners were: Courtney Clody, 12th, 19:37; Taylor Monheim, 14th, 19:44; Jordan Doore, 25th, 20:05; Katie Meinke, 27th, 20:06; and Emily Henry, 50th, 20:36.
In Division I-B, Bowling Green was fourth with 132 points.
BG's top five were: Sasha Lanning, seventh, 20:24; Mallory Glenn, 15th, 21:00; Jessi Patton, 17th, 21:04; Morgan Akenberger, 43rd, 21:57; and Natalie Applegate, 50th, 22:09.
In the Division II-A varsity race, Eastwood was 16th with 394 points and Lake was 28th with 861.
Eastwood's top five were: Hannah Sponaugle, 25th, 19:49; Meagan Kaminski, 49th, 20:37; Maddie Jackson, 62nd, 20:57; Ashley Madaras, 122nd, 22:10; and Lexi Clark, 136th, 22:31.
Lake's top five were: Marissa Boos, 137th, 22:32; Olivia Bockey, 163rd, 24:09; Vanessa Warton, 178th, 24:45; Katie Swartz, 187th, 25:13; and Kristen Deal, 196th, 26:09.
In the Division II-B, Otsego was 11th with 300 points.
Otsego's top five were: Dayna Fackler, 16th, 21:05; Marisa DiBartolomeo, 35th, 21:49; Adrienne Smith, 43rd, 21:59; Sadie VanHorn, 76th, 22:46; and Alison Graham, 132nd, 24:21.
In the Division III, Lakota was 32nd with 887 points and Northwood was 44th with 1,244 points.
Lakota's top five were: Cariss Reese, 12th, 20:01; Morgan Mowry, 170th, 23:38; Amanda Lane, 199th, 24:29; Barbara Sprauer, 249th, 26:26; and Taylor Smith, 261st, 27:03.
Northwood's top five were: Olivia Carbe, 135th, 22:57; Bri Martinez, 246th, 26:10; Adrienne Wasch, 267th, 27:26; Elizabeth Hart, 289th, 30:46; and Zoe Hart, 298th, 32:22.
In the Division II-III open race, Rossford's Jessie Pietrasz finished sixth in 21:18.

Elmwood places sixth
At Spencerville High School, Elmwood finished sixth with 211 points.
The Royals' top five were: Emma Krassow, 19th, 22:01; Madison Sears, 28th, 22:24; Emily Tracy, 35th, 22:34; Keli Bradford, 65th, 24:19; and Makayla Mohre, 66th, 24:21.
