Suburban Lakes League co-champions Eastwood and Otsego were well-represented in the all-league volleyball selections. Six of the seven players on the first team were from the two schools.
Both teams finished 11-1 in the league to share the SLL championship. Otsego advanced to the Division III regional semifinals before losing to state-ranked Archbold.
Otsego senior setter Autumn Berry was named the SLL player of the year and earned first-team All-SLL.
Also earning first-team honors for the Knights were: seniors Ashley Holzwart (outside hitter), Baley Bernthisel (middle blocker) and Katelyn Downing (defensive specialist).
Bernthisel and Berry are repeat first-team selections. Holzwart and Downing were second-team selections last season.
Eastwood juniors Whitney Hoodlebrink (outside hitter) and Katie Primeau (setter) earned first-team honors.
Gibsonburg's Samantha Stainbrook (senior, middle blocker) rounded out the first-team selections.
Earning second-team honors for Eastwood were: Courtney Rolf (sophomore, middle blocker) and Christine Foster (junior, defensive specialist).
Rolf was on the honorable-mention list last season.
For Otsego, Chelsea Bollenbacher (senior, middle blocker) earned second-team.
Also earning second-team honors from county schools were Lake's Kaysie Brittenham (junior, outside hitter) and Elmwood's LeeAnn Irwin (senior, setter).
Irwin was a second-team selection last season while Brittenham was on the honorable-mention list.
The following players from county schools earned honorable mention honors: Eastwood - juniors Vicky Bruning and Jordan Frobose; Elmwood - junior Amanda Peters and seniors Sam Pollard and Kylie Snowden; Lake - seniors Rachel Duncan and Brianne Freeman, and juniors Carly Huston and McKenzie Whiteman; Otsego - junior Karessia Rowell.
Elmwood's Peters and Pollard were both on the honorable mention-list last season.
