COLUMBUS — Lakota’s Makayla Dull took a one-shot lead Friday after the first round of the Division II girls state high school golf tournament.
The junior shot a 1-under-69 at Ohio State University’s Gray Course.
Dull will attempt to win the state championship Saturday during the final 18 holes.
Tipp City Tippecanoe senior Lindsey Murray was second with a 70, while Dayton Miami Valley senior Sarah Kolodzik was third with a 73.
The other 68 players shot 74 or higher.
Dull shot a 1-under-par 35 on the front nine and par on the back nine during the first round.Her round consisted of four birdies and three bogeys.
Dull is competing at state for the third time, finishing in a tie for fifth place with a 156 last fall and tying for 10th as a freshman with a 165.
