‘Jacket wrestlers qualify entire team for district (2-18-14)

Perrysburg’s entire wrestling team advanced to the district tournament.
In all, 40 wrestlers from Wood County school advanced to the districts.
DIVISION I
At Mansfield, Perrysburg had 10 champions and all 14 wrestlers advanced.
The Yellow Jackets finished with 315 points, 132 points in from of Ashland.
Perrysburg’s champions were: Khyron Vidales (106), Mario Guillen (113), Moises Guillen (120), Josh
Herhold (132), J.P. Newton (152), Dan Waltermyer (160), Rocco Caywood (182), Kadin Llewellyn (195), Mark
Delas (220), and Cale Bonner (285).
Brock Jones (126), Matt Waltermeyer (145) were second, while Chase Newton (170) was third, and Leo Romp
(138) was fourth.
The district is this weekend at Cleveland State.
DIVISION II
At the Stroh Center, Rossford’s Jacob Bulage (126), and Bowling Green’s T.J. Jacobs (220) were both
second.
Jacobs lost 2-1 in the championship round to Perkins’ Kordell Chaney.
The district is this weekend at the Stroh Center.
DIVISION III
At Lake High School, seven county teams competed and there were a total of 26 wrestlers who advanced,
including six champions.
Otsego placed second with 1651‚Ñ2 points and qualified seven wrestlers. Trent Soto won the 132 title and
Jordan Hendrix won the 160 title.
Elmwood was third with 165 points and qualified six. Jacob Wise won the 170 title.
Eastwood was fifth with 1361‚Ñ2 points and had seven qualifiers. Andrew Caris (145) and Mitchel Davidson
(152) were champions.
Lake and Northwood qualified two wrestlers each and Northwood’s Devon Dunbar (126) won a title.
North Baltimore and Lakota each had one qualifier.
Finishing second from the county were: Otsego’s Corbin Camp (113); Austin Glosser (138); and Zach
Zuhlsdorf (182); Elmwood’s Dylan Benschoter (132); and Noah Baker (160); and Lake’s Damon Keister (106);
and Matt Church (120).
A total of 10 county wrestlers were third: Eastwood’s Eli Brown (120); Zane Zientek (182); and Tyler
Tudor (220): Elmwood’s Brik Dauterman (138); Dylan Hall (145); and Jack Hagemeyer (285); Otsego’s Riley
Trecha (152); and David Glenn (170); Lakota’s Madison Jaso (160); and Northwood’s Bradley Meeks (113).

Finishing fourth from the county were: Eastwood’s Hunter Sutton (138); and Michael Glaze (160); and North
Baltimore’s David Bankey (220).
The district this weekend is at the Stroh Center.
