Coach: Pat Carney, third season.
2012 record: Fifth in the NLL.
Returning letter winners: Seniors Morgan Akenberger and Alysse Eddington; juniors Mallory Glenn, Sasha Lanning and Susan Johnson; and sophomore Jessi Patton.
Coach's quote: "This team is very talented and has been working really hard for the start of the season. The girls are doing an outstanding job of getting it done in practice and combining that with having a great time. We have high expectations for this team and we are confident the girls will meet or exceed those expectations."
Coach: Jon Monheim, fourth season.
2012 record: Fourth in the NLL.
Returning letter winners: Seniors Jen Baum and Taylor Monheim; juniors Emily Henry and Cyndie McCullough; and sophomores Allie Kemp, Katie Menke, Rachel Warne and Brionnah Wyse.
Coach's quote: "We have a large team of 37 girls with many new to the sport. This will most likely be the deepest team Perrysburg has ever put together in girls cross country. We will be very strong up front and will have up to 12 girls fighting for varsity spots. Barring injury, this is a team that should contend for the NLL title and by season's end should see up to eight runners with the opportunity to break 20 minutes."
Coach: Stephanie Schneider-Sims, first season.
2012 record: First in the NBC.
Returning letter winners: Seniors Emily Zielinski, Maddie Jackson and McKayla Phillips; juniors Sierra Corns, Meagan Kaminski and Jenna Selhorst; and sophomore Lexie Clark.
Coach's quote: See related story.
Coach: Chris Hailey, 19th season.
2012 record: Second in the NBC.
Returning letter winners: Seniors Kyra Bloom and Paige Fisk; and juniors Emma Krassow, Emily Tracy, Keli Bradford and Megan Hathaway.
Coaches quote: "The Lady Royals only return six letter winners as their ranks were decimated by graduation with the loss of seven seniors last year. But the girls will have a brand new look this year, with not only new uniforms, but nine new faces of which most are upperclassmen, but first-time cross country runners. It remains to be seen whether these new faces can contribute enough to carry on the strong Elmwood tradition of a current streak of eight straight regional appearances."
Coach: Ken Mysinger, sixth season.
2012 record: Third in the NBC.
Returning letter winners: Sophomores Marissa Boos and Vanessa Warton.
Coach's quote: SDLqThe girls team year is young with no senior runners and only two juniors who did not run cross last season, but should help immediately. (Boos and Warton) are proven competitors who work hard. Sophomore Kristen Deal should contribute after sitting out last year with a torn ACL. Juniors Shelby Zemenski and new cross country runners junior Katie Swartz and Kalyn Swihart will help as well as talented freshmen Olivia Bockey, Chantel Parrish, Peyton Wamer, Mary Wires, and Hannah Zemenski."
Coach: Ryan Hafner, second season.
2012 record: Fifth in the NBC.
Returning letter winners: Seniors Marisa DiBartolomeo, Dayna Fackler, Brittany Hendricks, Alexandria Stough and Sadie VanHorn; and juniors Chrissy Cano and Adeline Smith.
Coach's quote: "I'm excited to have one more year to work with this group of seniors. I know they will provide solid leadership to our underclassmen. Everyone is motivated and has worked hard over the summer. If we can stay healthy and improve throughout the season, we'll be competitive in the NBC and, hopefully, be able to advance at the end of the year."
Coach: Vern Kiehl, second season.
2012 record: Sixth in the NBC.
Returning letter winners: Seniors Jessie Pietrasz and Maddy York, and sophomores Maddy Potts and Samantha Strohm.
Coach's quote: "Our goal is for everyone to improve their times while having fun as we build the program."
Coach: Don Windom, 26th season.
2012 record: Eighth in the MAL
Returning letter winners: Seniors Morgan Mowry, Cariss Reese, Taylor Smith and Barb Sprauer.
Coach's quote: "We have four returning seniors and are looking to them for leadership. The team will be led by Cariss Reese who was the individual MAL champion and regional qualifier. We hope our returning letter winners will continue to improve and that our new runners will make positive contributions to the team."
Coach: Bradlee Rowlinson, eighth season.
2012 record: 10th in the MAL.
Returning letter winners: Seniors Brittany Daughenbaugh and Madison Fitzgerald, juniors Mariah Leonard, Ragean Fleckner, and sophomore Megan Ernsberger.
Coach's quote: "Goals -Top 5 with an average time in the 22s; finish in the top half of the MAL, Our key to a successful season will be depth in having several girls having the potential to be the lead runner for the team."
Coach: Kelley Wills, second season.
2012 record: Did not field a full team.
Returning letter winners: Senior Olivia Carbe.
Coach's quote: "Olivia ran faster times last year, but didn't make it to the regional (after qualifying as a sophomore). She's working hard and set a goal of getting to the regional this year and maybe even beyond that."
