Lorne Strausbaugh won the 1,600 and the 3,200 to help Elmwood's boys track and field team finish second in the Division III district meet at Liberty-Benton High School.
Strausbaugh won the 1,600 in 4:35.12 and the 3,200 in 10:17.09 to advance to this week's regional in Tiffin.
The top four finishers in the district at Liberty-Benton and at the Division III district qualified for the Tiffin regional.
The Royals had 127 points to trail only Liberty-Benton with 175 points in the team standings.
Elmwood won three other events.
Alex Jasso won the 800 in 2:00.03.
The 800 relay team of Austin Jasso, Arnold, Michael Baer and Derick Mobus won in 1:33.30.
Arnold won the 400 in 51.80 and Austin Jasso was third in 53.14.
The 1,600 relay team of Arnold, Baer, Alex Jasso and Austin Jasso was second in 3:32.18
Mobus was second in the 200 in 23.39 and third in the 100 in 11.61.
Arnold was third in the long jump (21-3¬Ω).
Chris Goodrich was fourth in the 3,200 in 10:17.09.

At Eastwood
Lakota, Northwood
athletes advance
In Luckey, Lakota and Northwood each had two regional qualifiers.
Lakota's Kevin Crowe finished fourth in the discus (127-3) and Nick Alexander was fourth in the pole vault (11-0).
Northwood's Brandon Kretz was second in the 300 hurdles in 42.35; and the 400 relay team of Kretz, Chanlor Hayes, Louis Wayome and Dominik Bermejo was fourth in 46.46.

At Eastwood
Lakota's Reese, Kiser win
In Luckey, Lakota's Cariss Reese won the 300 hurdles in 47.06 and teammate Makayla Kiser won the pole vault (9-8).
Reese was second in the pole vault (9-4).
Lakota's 400 relay team of Kiser, Reese, Taylor Smith and Paige Alloway was fourth in 53.90.
