COLUMBUS — Elmwood’s boys 3,200 relay team finished 13th Friday in the Division III state high school track and field meet at Ohio State University’s Jesse Owens Stadium. PHOTO GALLERY
The team of sophomore Andrew Jasso, senior Lorne Strausbaugh, sophomore Josh Mathias and senior Alex Jasso had a time of 8:20.17.
The Royals’ 1,600 relay team didn’t make the finals of its event.
The team of sophomore Austin Jasso, Alex Jasso, senior Michael Baer and junior Aaron Arnold had a time of 3:30.26. The time was 13th-fastest of the 16 state qualifiers, but only the top nine advanced.
In the girls meet, Lakota junior Cariss Reese failed to make the finals of the 300 hurdles with a time of 47.97, the 10th fastest.
