AKRON - Eastwood's boys won the Division II-III team championship Saturday during the state high school indoor track and field meet at the University of Akron.
The Eagles totaled 36 points to edge Warren John F. Kennedy with 33 and Dayton Dunbar with 23.
Eastwood's state championship was one of two for Wood County athletes.
In the Division I girls meet, Perrysburg won the 3,200 relay where Courtney Clody, Taylor Monheim, Jordan Doore, and Emily Wyrick finished first in a time of 9:32.
In the Division II-III boys meet, Eastwood had two placers in both the triple jump and the long jump.
Devin Snowden was second in the triple jump (42-10 1/2) and teammate Derek Snowden was fourth (41-1 1/4).
Devin Snowden was third in the long jump (21-9 1/2) and teammate Jake Hoodlebrink was fifth (20-9 1/2).
Eastwood placed in two relays.
The 1,600 team of Isaiah Conkle, Blake Kohring, Brennan Seifert and Devin Snowden was third in 3:32.47.
The 800 team of Devin Snowden, John Rogers, Bent Schlumbohm and Conkle was fourth in 1:32.80.
Kohring was seventh in the 60 hurdles in 8.36.
Rossford's Ryan Clay was third in the 800 in 1:57.98, while Otsego's Brandon Avers was fourth in the 1,600 with a time of 4:31.43.
In the Division II-III girls meet, Eastwood's Hannah Firsdon was third in the triple jump (32-3).
Also in the Division I girls meet, Clody was third in the 1,600 (5:16).
Bowling Green's Maria Horrigan placed in two events.
She cleared 11-3 to finish third in the pole vault and went 16-3 1/4 for sixth place in the long jump.
