|Eastwood, NB boys advance to district golf (09-27-13)|

Eastwood finished third in the Division II sectional at Detwiler to advance to the district tournament, and North Baltimore was third at Ironwood to advance in Division III.
Also at Detwiler, Lake's Ian Johnson and Rossford's Mason Robinson qualified as individuals.
Wauseon won the title at Detwiler with a 318. Huron shot 320 and Eastwood finished at 323. Lake was fourth at 331, Rossford was sixth at 343, and Otsego was 12th at 424.
Eastwood's scores were: Matt White, 79; Steven Bruning, 831; and Nick Coffman and Kyle Waynick, 83 each.
Johnson was third overall with a 77. Other Lake scorers were: Michael Kranz, 80. Jeff Wilson, 86; and Dylan Mauder, 88. Kranz lost in a playoff for the final individual spot.
Robinson shot 78 for the Bulldogs. Other Rossford scorers were: Ryan Niese, 81; Jackson Murphree, 91; and Brian Burks, 92.
Otsego's scorers were: Samson Dunmyer, 92; Tony Pasty and Brian Frail, 108 each; and Colin Bigenhoe, 116.
The Division II district is next Thursday at Red Hawk Run.
North Baltimore's team score of 347 was good for third place. North Central won the sectional with a 329, and Miller City was second at 338.
At Ironwood Golf Course, the Tigers were led by Jacob Frost's round of 82. Also scoring for NB were: Brock Boyer, 83; Garrett Boyer, 90; and Chad Wright, 92.
At Sycamore Springs, Elmwood's boys placed seventh in the Division III sectional, shooting a 389. Van Buren won the team title with a 340.
Scoring for the Royals were: Trevor Robbins, 90; Marc Day, 94; Nate Ramsey, 97; and Nate Sterling, 108.
At all sites, the top three teams and the top four individuals not on a qualifying team advance to the district tournament.
Next Thursday, the Division III district will be at Stone Ridge.
