Otsego High School sophomore AJ Digby competes in the long jump at the International Wheelchair and Amputee Sports World Junior Championships in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, earlier this month. He won two gold medals, including the discus with a throw of 100-0, an American and world junior record. He also won the shot put (28-11), earned a silver medal in the 100 (12.47), a bronze medal in the 400 (56.97) and was fourth in the long jump (15-11). Digby, a double below the knee amputee, runs track and plays golf at Otsego.
