Coach's comment: "We hope to build a consistent defense around the experience many of the younger players received last season and keep moving forward in skill and knowledge of the game. The chemistry between players, and the degree that the players take ownership and push themselves to excel in their roles, will both be major factors for success this year."

PERRYSBURG
Coach: Ryan DeMars, fourth season.
2012 record: 19-9 overall, 8-6 in the NLL.
Returning letter winners: Seniors - Katie Dunphy, infielder; and Raegan Vickers, outfielder. Juniors - Kayleen Jurski, pitcher; Mallory Creps, infielder; and Taylor Tafelski, outfielder/catcher.
Coach's comment: "We are pretty young this year as we return only four starters. We will probably start some freshmen and in order to be successful our young players will have to step up and adjust quickly to the quality of play at the varsity level in the NLL. We have strong leadership and talented players and I expect that we will compete in every game and improve on our fourth-place finish from last year."

Coach's comment: "With a number of returning starters back, we are looking to regain what we had lost last year and capture a league title and advance deep into the state tourney. We will have to replace Whitney Striff and Sierra Beckford, but with the players who have come in and the returning players hopefully they can fill their shoes."

LAKE
Coach: Dave Rymers, sixth season.
2012 record: 6-20 overall; 1-13 in the NBC.

Coach's comment: "As a program, we talk about taking ourselves to another level. It doesn't matter what happened last year. What matters most is what you're experiencing now. We talking about being prepared mentally and physically all the time and that has more to do with heart and togetherness as teammates than experience."

OTSEGO
Coach: Dan Sheperd, second season.
2012 record: 15-8 overall, third in the NBC.
Returning letter winners: Seniors - Natalie Wright, outfielder; Emily Carson, catcher; Christine Sarkan, outfielder. Juniors - Nicole Thomas, outfielder; Tayler Bowen, infielder; Savannah Schwind, infielder. Sophomores -Paige Ireland, infielder; Kimberlin Norman, outfielder; and Kylie Asmus, pitcher.
Coach's comment: "This is a team that has a very strong core of returning letter winners that played a lot last year in very intense situations. They, as a team, feel that they have some goals to meet that were just out of our reach last year. They have worked really hard in the off-season to be more productive offensively and they have begun the spring with a really sharp focus."

ROSSFORD
Coach: Tom Kralovic, 12th season.
2012 record: 18-10 overall, 8-6 in the NBC.
Returning letter winners: Juniors - Maddie York, Lyndsey Skala, Margo Jackson, Mandi Longeway and Kelly Swope. Sophomores - Hannah Gauthier Kirsten Keller, Claire Verbosky, Jessica Kulczak, Nicole Beyer and Maggie Leahy.
Coach's comment: "The girls have been working real hard, We're really focusing on the little things that will put us in position to win close games. The NBC is going to be a very competitive league with great pitchers. We have 11 players back from last year's team. Our goals are to put ourselves in position in the second half to compete for a NBC championship and make a long tournament run."
