Coach: Pat Carney, second season.
2011 record: Third in the NLL.
Returning lettermen: Seniors Jared Kobylski., Travis Jex and Michael Jarrell, and sophomore Codie Garza.
Coach's quote: "The team is working great together.  Many open spots in the varsity positions will produce positive competition within the group that will help the team achieve its goals. The coaches are looking forward to seeing what this team is capable of this year. As always, we hope to be competitive in the top half of the NLL and advance the team through the post season as far as their efforts will take them."

PERRYSBURG
Coach: Jeff Taylor, third season.
2011 record: Second in the NLL.
Returning lettermen: Seniors Bryant Byrd, Troy Maurer, Paul Dejong and Kyle Kramer; juniors Andrew Bayes, Parker Calvin and Bobby Borger; and sophomore Matt Studer.

EASTWOOD
Coach: Richard Morgan, 22nd season.
2011 record: Fifth in the NBC.
Returning lettermen: Juniors Gabe Fredericks and Jake Poiry, and sophomore Noah Smith.
Coach's quote: "We have a pretty small team this year with only three lettermen. However, there is some talent there, and we hope to improve upon our NBC finish from last year."

ELMWOOD
Coach: Chris Hailey, 19th season.
2011 record: First in the NBC.
Returning lettermen: Seniors Alex Jasso, Justin Hathaway, Lorne Strausbaugh, Tommy Rios, Lincoln Young, George Andrich and Jacob Nungester; juniors Chris Brown, Devon Spieker and Kole Schultz; and sophomores Matthew Wagner, Andrew Jasso and Josh Mathias.
Coach's quote: "The guys have been extremely active this summer, possibly setting them up for a successful season. They have high expectations and a tradition to uphold as the Elmwood boys have won the last four league titles and the first NBC title. Their real goal is to get back to the state meet, which they were unable to do last year."

LAKE
Coach: Ken Mysinger, fifth season.
2011 record: Second in the NBC.
Returning lettermen: Seniors Trevor Walsh and Dustin Preble; juniors Scott Brittenham, Tyler Rickman, Orfrancis Ozuna, Sean Harger, Ty Basilius, Nathan Vidra; and sophomores Bennett Breese and Matt Sartor.
Coach's quote: "We graduated three of our top seven from last season, but we still have some very hard-working, talented runners  The two seniors are good leaders and will be called upon to lead by example. The strength of the group lies with the junior class. Expectations are high, but some individuals and newcomers will have to work together and continue to improve throughout the season and close the time between runners 1-3 and 4-10 to be successful."

OTSEGO
Coach: Ryan Hafner, first season.
2011 record: Third in the NBC.
Returning letter winners: Senior Abe Burkett; juniors Garry Armstrong, Raphael Fretter, Curtis Tumblin, Eddie Ferguson and Ben Thomas; and sophomores Jeffrey Agan, Brandon Avers, Fred Balmoria and Jordy Ghesquiere.
Coach's quote: "Our depth is definitely a strength this year. We're young, but this is a talented group.  If everyone puts in the work and stays healthy, I believe we'll be in the mix for the NBC title."

ROSSFORD
Coach: Vern Kiehl, first season.
2011 record: Eighth in the NBC.
Returning lettermen: None.
Coach's quote: "We have a very small team of five, but hope to add a few more. We are working hard and having fun, and are looking to build the program."

MIDLAND
ATHLETIC LEAGUE
LAKOTA
Coach: Don Windom, 25th season.
2011 record: Ninth in the MAL.
Returning lettermen: Seniors Tyler Aldrich, Zac Baker and Ben Gabel; junior Luke Baker; and sophomores Isaac Ritter and Caleb Tolento.
Coach's quote: "We were a young team last year, we hope to draw from last year's experience and move our pack up into a competitive position."

NORTH BALTIMORE
Coach: Bradlee Rowlinson, seventh season.
2011 record: 10th in the MAL.
Returning lettermen: Seniors Brandon Senecal, and sophomores Nathan Flores and AJ Hotaling.
Coach's quote: "With the exception of team captain Brandon Senecal, the team will be very young, consisting of all freshman and sophomores.  With a young team, we will expect great growth in August and September in preparation for October. With the departure of four seniors, it will be very key for the returning lettermen to take on the leadership role and lead the younger runners."

TOLEDO

CONFERENCE
NORTHWOOD
Coach: Kelley Wills, first season.
2011 record: Did not field a full team.
Returning letter winners: Senior Jeffrey Ritter and sophomore Joe Birch.
Coach's quote: "(Ritter and Birch) are both working hard to improve their times from last year. We are excited we'll have enough to score as a team. This is the first time in quite a few years we has been able to do this."
