Bowling Green's baseball team scored 12 runs in its final three at-bats Saturday to post a 15-6 nonleague win over Elmwood at Carter Park.
The Bobcats scored five times in the fourth, four times in the fifth and three times in the sixth to erase a 6-3 deficit.
BG's leading hitters were: Andy Fisher, 2-for-3, double, four runs, RBI; Ricky Riggs, 2-for-4, two runs, two RBI; Jack Schaller, 2-for-3, RBI; and Clark Mayberry, double, four RBI.
Elmwood's Phillip Buckingham went 2-for-4 and scored a run.

In Perrysburg, the Yellow Jackets improved to 10-2 with a nonleague sweep. Adams is 6-5.
In Game 1, Gus Dimmerling's two-out, two-run single in the seventh scored Trevor Hafner and Mark Delas with the tying and winning runs.

Prep Roundup: Elmwood softball defeats Woodmore (04-30-14) PDF Print E-mail

Elmwood's softball team scored three times in the bottom of the sixth inning Tuesday to erase a 2-1 deficit and post a 4-2 win over Woodmore in a Northern Buckeye Conference game.
Jasmine Marsh was 2-for-3 with a double for Elmwood, and Chelsie Schmitz and Rebecca Harvey also doubled.
Elmwood's Miranda Benschoter pitched a five-hitter, striking out 10 and walking three.

Lake 7, Swanton 3
In Swanton, winning pitcher Emma Materni and Sydnee Behlmer hit two-run doubles as Lake improved to 7-7 overall with a nonconference win.

Genoa 12, North Baltimore 2,
Genoa 4, North Baltimore 1
In Genoa, North Baltimore lost twice in a nonleague doubleheader Saturday.
NB's Jasmine Bretz had a double and an RBI in Game 1.
NB's leading hitters in Game 2 were: Rachel Peters, 2-for-3; and Makayla Rein, 2-for-2, double.
NB is 5-8 overall.

Prep Roundup: Eastwood, Lake boys both win track titles (4-26-14) PDF Print E-mail

Eastwood’s and Lake’s boys both won track and field championships Friday night.
Eastwood won its own Eastwood Relays, while Lake won the Gibsonburg Invitational.

In Luckey, Eastwood scored 144 points to defeat seven other teams. The Eagles were 50 points ahead of runnerup Clyde.
Perrysburg was fourth with 63 and Bowling Green was sixth with 57.
Eastwood’s Devin Snowden won the triple jump and the long jump.
Snowden went 44-53⁄4 in the triple jump, breaking the record of 42-21⁄2 set in 2012. He went 21-111⁄2 in the long jump.
Also for the Eagles, Joe Salinas won the 300 hurdles in 40.23 and Tim Hoodlebrink won the 1,600 in 4:34.70.
