Bowling Green's baseball team totaled 14 hits en route to a 16-0 win over Lima Senior in a Division I district tournament game at Carter Park. PHOTO GALLERY
The Bobcats scored twice in the first inning and added to their lead in every at-bat to end the game after 4¬Ω innings via the 10-run mercy rule.
Ten Bobcats had at least one hit, 10 players scored at least once and nine players had at least one RBI.
BG's leading hitters were: Ricky Riggs, 2-for-3, three runs, RBI; Jeremy Chambers, 2-for-3, double, run, RBI; Spencer Shultz, 2-for-2, run, three RBI; and Mason Apple, 2-for-2, two doubles, two runs, RBI.
The Bobcats' Andy Fisher pitched a one-hitter, striking out 13 and walking one.
BG, 12-10 overall, visits Findlay in its next tournament game Thursday night at 5.

OAK HARBOR - Eastwood's boys and Perrysburg's girls won team championships Saturday in the Oak Harbor Invitational track and field meet.
The Eagle boys won six events and totaled 148 points in the 10-team meet.
Van Wert was a distant second with 97. Also from Wood County, Perrysburg was fourth with 731‚Ñ2 and Lake was eighth with 331‚Ñ2.
Eastwood's Devin Snowden won the three events and Eagles won three relays, two in a meet-record time.
Snowden swept the hurdles, winning the 110s in 15.16 and 300s in 40.54. He also went 22-43‚Ñ4 to win the long jump.
The Eagles' 400 team of Grant Geiser, Snowden, Brennan Seifert and Joe Salinas won in 43.50, breaking the record of 43.60 set by Eastwood in 2008.
Eastwood's 1,600 team of Fredericks, Hoodlebrink, Salinas and Smith won in 3:26.12, breaking Genoa's record of 3:27.10 set in 1991.

Perrysburg scored four times in the bottom of the fifth inning to break a 1-1 tie and the Yellow Jacket baseball team held on for a 5-3 win Friday over Bowling Green in a Northern Lakes League game.
The Yellow Jackets, ranked sixth in Division I, are 15-4 overall and 6-3 in the NLL. BG is 11-10, 2-8.

Trevor Hafner led off the Perrysburg fifth with a single and took second on an infield out.

AJ Stockwell singled Hafner to third. Hafner then scored on Gus Dimmerling’s single to give Perrysburg a 2-1 lead.
Zack Zam’s pinch-hit three-run double with two out increased the lead to 5-1. The hit came after Zam fouled off two pitches with a 3-2 count.
Perrysburg’s other leading hitters were Nick Fleming, 2-for-4; and Dimmerling, 2-for-3, run, two RBI.
BG’s leading hitters were: Jeremy Chambers, 2-for-4, double, two runs; and Mason Apple, 2-for-3, double.

Bowling Green’s girls and Otsego’s boys won track and field championships Friday night.
BG won the Sandusky Perkins Relays and Otsego won its own Tim Downey Invitational.

Perrysburg's boys tennis team finished second in the Northern Lakes League tournament Wednesday at Jermain Park in Toledo.
The Yellow Jackets also were second in the NLL overall standings, which combine points earned for dual-match wins and a team's finish in the league tournament.
Southview was first in both.
Perrysburg's Troy Weider won the championship at No. 1 singles, posting a 6-0, 6-4 win over Springfield's Cody Wurzelbacher.
The Yellow Jackets finished second at the four other positions - Nick Buhk at No. 2 singles, Justin Weider at No. 3 singles, Mitchel Skotynsky and Austin Riffer at No. 1 doubles, and Konnor Masell and Thomas Walbom at No. 2 doubles.
