North Baltimore downed Elmwood and Eastwood, Otsego and Rossford all posted wins in Saturday’s boys nonleague basketball action.
North Baltimore was an 84-75 winner over Elmwood, Eastwood was a 66-53 winner over Maumee, Otsego was a 45-44 winner over Swanton and Rossford was a 52-46 winner over Northview.

In North Baltimore, the Tigers shot 46-of-64 from the free-throw line in the win.
NB had four players score in double figures: Jacob Frost, 19; Levi Newcomer, 18; Lane Bishop, 15; and Chad Wright, 12. Newcomer made 14 free throws and Bishop made 13.
Aaron Arnold led Elmwood with 39 points, making 15 free throws, and nine rebounds, and Jarret Childress added 14 points. Elmwood was 21-of-34 from the line.

Elmwood, Rossford and Lake posted victories Friday on the opening night of girls league play in the Northern Buckeye Conference. PHOTO GALLERY
Elmwood was a 50-44 winner over Otsego, Rossford was a 53-44 winner over Eastwood and Lake was a 42-37 overtime winner against Fostoria.
In other girls games, it was: Perrysburg 44, Southview 40; BGHS 72, Maumee 29; Old Fort 57, North Baltimore 38.
In boys nonleague games, it was: Lake 70, Toledo Christian 52; and Liberty-Benton 66, Rossford 46.

BASKETBALL
GIRLS
Elmwood 50, Otsego 44
In Tontogany, Elmwood built a 26-16 lead at the half to improve to 1-1 overall.
Samantha Ervin led Elmwood with 16 points, while Kristen Curtis added 10 points.
Otsego’s Abby Hesselschwardt led all scorers with 27 points. The Knights are 1-2.
