Bowling Green's baseball team lost three games over the weekend.
The Bobcats lost to Defiance (9-1) and Bryan (8-5) in nonleague games Saturday, and to Anthony Wayne (3-1) in their Northern Lakes League opener Friday.
Against Defiance, BG's Ricky Riggs was 2-for-3 with a run scored.
Against Bryan, BG's leading hitters were: Hogan Pash, 2-for-4, run; and Riggs, Joe Cohen, double each.
Against AW, the Generals scored single runs in the third, fourth and fifth innings after BG opened the scoring in the first.  PHOTO GALLERY
Andy Fisher singled twice for BG, which suffered its first loss of the season.
BG is 7-3 overall.

Perrysburg baseball’s team scored eight runs in the bottom of the second inning Friday to erase a 2-0 deficit and post a 9-2 win over Northview to win their Northern Lakes League opener.
Chaz Westfall was 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, a double and a home run for Perrysburg, which totaled 13 hits. The Yellow Jackets’ other leading hitters were: Zach Honsberger, 2-for-4, two RBI; Nick Fleming, 2-for-4, RBI; AJ Stockwell, 2-for-3, run; and Gus Dimmerling, 2-for-4, run.
Mark Delas and Stockwell pitched a two-hitter, striking out four.
Perrysburg, the defending league champion, is 3-1 overall.

Eastwood’s softball team slugged 22 hits en route to a 17-7 win over visiting North Baltimore in six innings on Thursday. PHOTO GALLERY
Marissa Tudor led the way for Eastwood, going 5-for-5 with a double.
Other top hitters for the Eagles were: Caitlin Clay, 3-for-5; Cassidy Rolf, 3-for-4, home run, triple; Mackenzie Albright, single, double; Krista Jennings, 3-for-5, home run, double; Maddie Fix, single, double.
For NB, Bailey Boyer was 3-for-3, two doubles; Kelcie Bean, 2-for-3; Hanna Brian and Rachel Peters, 2-for-4; and Haleigh Fleck, home run.

Springfield 8, Rossford 6
In Rossford, a seventh inning rally came up short as the Bulldogs dropped to 4-2.
Top hitters for Rossford were: Kirsten Keller, 2-for-4; Margo Jackson, 3-for-4, three runs; Maggie Leahy, 2-for-3; Mandi Longeway, 1-for-3, two RBI; and Kelly Swope, triple.

Bowling Green’s girls won four events to finish second in the Bobcat Invitational track and field meet Friday.  PHOTO GALLERY
Also Friday, Elmwood’s boys finished first and the Royal girls were third in the Van Buren Invitational.

BG finishes second
BG totaled 103.5 points to finish behind Fremont Ross with 125 in the seven-team meet. Lake was seventh with 44.
BG’s Maria Horrigan cleared 11-3 to win the high jump, breaking her meet record of 11-0 set last year.
The Bobcats won three relays.
The 400 team of Cassidy Williford, Rachel Miller, Brittany Lowe and Horrigan won in 52.87.

Elmwood's softball team had 15 hits Wednesday on the way to 16-3 five-inning win over visiting Perrysburg.
The Royals' leading hitters were: Miranda Benschoter, 3-for-3, RBI, double; Olivia Myers, 2-for-4, RBI; Rebecca Harvey, 2-for-2, four RBI; Madison Arnold, 2-for-3, two RBI; and Jasmine Marsh, 2-for-3, triple, four RBI.

Rossford's Longeway pitches no-hitter
In Rossford, the Bulldogs' Mandi Longeway pitched a five-inning no-hitter in a 12-0 win over Swanton.
She struck out seven and walking none.
The Bulldogs' leading hitters were: Kirsten Keller, 2-for-2, two RBI; Lyndsey Skala, 2-for-3; Margo Jackson, 2-for-3, triple; Kelly Swope, 1-for-2, double, three RBI; Jessica Kulczak, 1-for-2, double; Hannah Gauthier, 2-for-2, RBI; and Maddie York, 1-for-2, three RBI.
