Bowling Green scored the final five goals Tuesday for a 5-1 win over Anthony Wayne in the quarterfinals of the district high school hockey playoffs at Tam-O-Shanter.
The Bobcats scored three straight goals in the second period after the first period ended in a 1-1 tie.
Grant DeWitt’s power-play goal snapped the tie just 55 seconds into the second period, and Ryan Emans and Keegan O’Brien added insurance goals 15 seconds apart in the final minute of the period.
Rob Tyrrell and Dakota Bell scored BG’s other goals.
Tanner Fausnaugh made 12 saves for BG, which held a 48-13 edge in shots.
The Bobcats, 15-15-1 overall, face second-ranked St. John’s in the semifinals Friday night at 7.
