TOLEDO – Animals aren’t the only thing to see at the Toledo Zoo. The Watch it Grow garden tour series
takes visitors through the zoo’s beautiful gardens to see how they grow, bloom and change throughout the
season.
Zoo horticulturists lead these 90-minute tours, discussing such topics as soil preparation, plant
identification and selection, and cultural practices. The tours are free with regular zoo admission, and
reservations are not needed; just meet by the historic Conservatory and be sure to wear comfortable
walking shoes.
Each tour goes from 10:30 a.m. to noon. They will be Wednesday, July 16, Aug. 20 and Sept. 17.
